Chapter 137 So What? Are You Jealous, Marquis Shuo?

Yang Zijin's dislocated bones were manipulated.

Yang Zijin, who was off guard then, uttered an "ouch". Sweat trickling down her forehead, she was on the verge of tears.

Shuo Ling took the vulnerary, opened the bottle, gently applied the medicine to Yang Zijin's swollen ankle, and massaged it carefully.

"How does it feel now?" Shuo Ling massaged her ankle, looking at Yang Zijin with concern.

Yang Zijin nodded, "Much better. It doesn't hurt that much."

Xiao Mu watched Shuo Ling taking care of Yang Zijin, in a trance. He heard from Mo Li that their Lord was very kind to Infanta Qingcheng, but he didn't believe it until today.

His Lord was not his usual self. Had he not seen it with his own eyes, he couldn't have believed that Shuo Ling, who was aloof in daily life, could be so gentle.

Shuo Ling stood up and ordered Xiao Mu, "Give orders to set off at once and rest in the town ahead."

"Yes, My Lord." Xiao Mu made a quick reaction and walked to the soldiers resting on the ground.

He spoke loudly, "We are tired after a day's walking. The town is in front of us and we are having a good rest there."

The soldiers heard his words and rose to their feet.

Shuo Ling lifted Yang Zijin onto the back of his horse and leaped onto it. He showed Runyu the horse of Yang Zijin, "Let's go."

Runyu nodded and mounted the horse, riding to the town in the front after Shuo Ling.

No one was wandering on the streets. They could see a few lanterns scattered in the town.

They stopped at the door of an inn called Ruyi Inn.

There were two dim lanterns hanging at the open door of the inn.

Shuo Ling dismounted from the horse, held Yang Zijin down, and entered the inn with her.

A waiter was dozing in the inn.

He caught the noise and opened his eyes to see two men coming over. One of them was holding a beautiful woman. But these two men's temperament made him scared.

Through the open door, he also saw there were some people dressed as soldiers. Frozen by what he had seen, the waiter forgot to greet the customers.

Runyu came up to him, "Do you have any rooms available?"

"Yes... Yes, we do... How many rooms do you want?" The waiter came to his sense and hurriedly answered Runyu's question.

Shuo Ling glanced at the young waiter and spoke coldly, "Make a block booking."

"Ah... Well... Yes, yes, sir." The waiter stammered, either scared of Shuo Ling's look or shocked by this big deal.

He went out of the counter, "This way, sir. Please follow me."

Then he led them to the second floor.

"Sir, these rooms are the best rooms in our inn." The young waiter pushed the door open and introduced the rooms to Runyu.

It wasn't because Runyu looked affable. Compared with cold and aloof Shuo Ling, the waiter was more likely to talk to Runyu.

Before Runyu had said something, Shuo Ling opened his mouth, "We know. Prepare a meal for us."

Shuo Ling gave the waiter a brief order.

"Yes... Yes, sir. I'll let the cook do it." After that, the waiter immediately left by the stairs. Somehow, he felt that the man holding a woman could not be provoked.

After the waiter left, Shuo Ling came into a room and put Yang Zijin on the bed. He asked, "How is it going? Do you feel better?"

"Much better now." Yang Zijin answered.

Runyu also entered the room. He said, "Since Your Highness is all right, I'll go back to my room."

"Sorry to trouble you today. I'll ask the waiter to bring the dinner to you when it's ready." Yang Zijin smiled at Runyu.

Runyu nodded and went to the room opposite.

The young waiter went downstairs and ran to knock the door of the innkeeper's room.

The innkeeper, who was sound asleep, was awakened. He asked impatiently, "Who is it?"

"It's me." The waiter answered as he got a reply.

The innkeeper got off his bed, drowsy, and opened the door, "What's up this late? Can't you tell me about it tomorrow morning?"

"Boss, we have a big deal." The waiter scratched his head and smiled happily.

The innkeeper awoke at hearing the news of the big deal.

Then the waiter added, "The customer hired the whole inn."

"What? Hired the whole inn?" The innkeeper couldn't believe it. He gave the waiter a pinch.

Hearing the waiter's crying at the pinch, the innkeeper believed that it was not a dream. After all, the business of his inn had been stagnant for a long time and when there are customers, there were only one or two people.

He cheered up, "Go, go and wake San up to make the best dishes for our customers."

"Got it!" The young waiter ran to another direction.

Before he could run a few steps the innkeeper stopped him, "Wait."

"Is there anything else, boss?" The waiter stopped and turned around to ask.

The innkeeper stroked his beard, "After the dishes are cooked, I'll bring them upstairs in person."

"Got it!"

Shuo Ling was massaging Yang Zijin's ankle when he heard the knock at the door. "Sir, I'm the holder of this inn. I bring a meal for you." Said the man who knocked on the door.

"Come in." Shuo Ling said.

The innkeeper opened the door and came in. He put the dishes onto the table one by one, and smiled at Shuo Ling and Yang Zijin, "Sir, you and your wife are a perfect match. The meal is here. If there's something wrong, the waiter outside the door is at your service."

"You can go." Shuo Ling spoke coldly.

The innkeeper talked too much.

The innkeeper quickly answered, "Yes. Please eat it while it's hot. I won't bother you."

Then he wanted to leave.

Yang Zijin said, "Wait a minute."

"What can I do for you, madam?" The innkeeper asked.

Yang Zijin gave Shuo Ling a look, but still said, "Send a meal to the room opposite."

"Yes." The innkeeper went out and closed the door.

After he left, as Yang Zijin had expected, Shuo Ling was jealous.

He looked into Yang Zijin's eyes, "You are very concerned about the Ghost Immortal."

"So what? Are you jealous, Marquis Shuo?" Yang Zijin sat up, putting an arm on Shuo Ling's shoulder.

Shuo Ling gave her a dry reply, "What do you think?"

"I think you are." Yang Zijin smiled. Somehow, in her view, jealous Shuo Ling was cute.

Seeing that Yang Zijin made light of his jealousy, Shuo Ling turned his head against Yang Zijin.

Yang Zijin knew she couldn't tease Shuo Ling anymore, so she moved closer and called him in a low voice, "Marquis Shuo."

Shuo Ling turned his head away.

"Marquis Shuo." Yang Zijin followed his face, smiling, and continued calling him.

She was helpless to see that Shuo Ling turned his head to the other side again.

Yang Zijin put down her injured calf, leaning to Shuo Ling closely, twisted his head with her hands, and kissed him on the lips quickly.

Then she let him go and smiled, "My Lord, I'm concerned about Young Master Run, just because he is my friend..."

She wanted to say something but Shuo Ling interrupted her.

"You mustn't think I'll cool down just because you said he is a friend." He went to sit at the table.

Then he gave Yang Zijin a look, "Come and eat."

"Well... I can't move." Looking at Shuo Ling, Yang Zijin pointed at her sprained ankle.

However, Shuo Ling turned aside, picked up chopsticks, and began to eat. Then he said as he ate, "Move by yourself."

Yang Zijin pouted. She moved her injured calf off the bed, looking at Shuo Ling who seemed to be absorbed in his meal, and came up with an idea, "Ouch!"

"What's wrong?" It worked. Shuo Ling immediately put down the chopsticks and came over.

Yang Zijin looked at him, puppy-eyed, "Accidentally hit the wound."

"Come on." Shuo Ling arched his back to Yang Zijin.

Yang Zijin stretched her arms onto Shuo Ling's back and answered, "I can't reach your shoulder."

Shuo Ling crouched down, speaking coldly, "And now?"

"Fine." Yang Zijin smiled and lay prone onto Shuo Ling's back.

Shuo Ling put her on the chair and Yang Zijin began to eat, satisfied.

After the meal, Shuo Ling moved Yang Zijin onto the bed and applied the vulnerary to her sprained ankle.

Then he massaged gently for her.

Yang Zijin fell asleep soon because she was too tired.

After Yang Zijin lay down, Shuo Ling covered her with a quilt, went outside the room, muffling his footsteps, and closed the door.

Xiao Mu was waiting outside, "My Lord."

Shuo Ling nodded, "They are all arranged?" He asked.

Xiao Mu replied, "Yes, My Lord. They all had meals and went to rest."

"Get a good carriage in the town tomorrow morning." Shuo Ling commanded.

Then he added, "Lay more cushions in it."

"Yes, My Lord." Xiao Mu answered. Of course, he knew who it was for.

Shuo Ling nodded, "It's late tonight. You can go to sleep."

Xiao Mu saluted and left.

Shuo Ling opened the door of the room beside Yang Zijin's and went in.

If anything was happening in her room, he would know immediately.

Fortunately, they went through the night in peace.

Early the next day morning, Shuo Ling came into Yang Zijin's room.

Yang Zijin's sleeping posture was very inelegant.

Shuo Ling shook his head. He went to the bed and covered her up with the quilt which had been kicked under the bed.

Yang Zijin was sound asleep. She turned around and threw her arms around Shuo Ling's hand.
