Chapter 315 That Was Just an Ordinary Messy Old Man.

"What? Shuo Ling had a concubine? Zijin and he just got married. Why did he marry a concubine so soon? Who's that woman?" Uncle Liu was shocked by the news and asked.

Mo Shang replied, "They married two days after Her Highness went back to her home. But I don't know who that concubine is."

"It's said that Shuo Ling always keeps distance from women. But he turns out to be a playboy," Uncle Liu said. He couldn't help but get angry so he pounded the table.

He knew Yang Zijin well. Although she sometimes looked not serious, she was actually a stubborn girl. How could she bear that Shuo Ling had a concubine? But why did she set off to Beiling?

The pounding sound startled Mo Shang. Seeing Uncle Liu was in a rage, he said in a low voice, "Master, His Majesty ordered him to marry that woman. I'm afraid that he couldn't refuse."

"What? His Majesty should betroth a concubine to him? That's ridiculous," Uncle Liu once more felt incredible after hearing Mo Shang's explanation.

Then, he calmed down and asked Mo Shang, "Did Zijin tell you why she was going to Beiling?"

"For ancestor worship," Mo Shang told Uncle Liu everything he knew.

Uncle Liu frowned and repeated, "Ancestor worship?"

After thinking for a while, Uncle Liu remembered that Yang Zijin's parents were Duke of Mu and Princess Nanyang. Empress Dowager took Princess Nanyang back from Beiling. So it was true that Beiling was her hometown.

Thinking of this, Uncle Liu still didn't stop knitting his brows. But, even if Yang Zijin was angry about the wedding, she couldn't leave home before the wedding as Shuo Ling's wife. Why did she decide to leave right on the wedding day?

Was it because the ancestor worship was an excuse? Did she go there for something else?

Then, Uncle Liu posed another question, "Did Marquis Shuo chase after her when knowing the news?"

"No," Mo Shang shook his head.

Hearing that, Uncle Liu who just cooled down started to get angry again. Dongling was far away from Beiling, so it was inevitable for Yang Zijin to meet with trouble on her way. However, Shuo Ling didn't chase after her. So he just pretended to fall in love with Yang Zijin? But it looked so real.

Nevertheless, Shuo Ling indeed had married a concubine and had not chased after Yang Zijin when she left for Beiling. Thinking of this, Uncle Liu pounded the table again and said, "Shuo Ling is outrageous! Now that it was His Majesty who asked him to marry a concubine, I won't blame him for that. But how could he not chase after Yang Zijin when knowing she was heading to Beiling?"

While speaking, Uncle Liu flew into a fury.

"Master, Marquis Shuo wanted to but he couldn't. Because the day after Her Highness left, he took an imperial decree that ordered him to go to the border areas," Mo Shang who was startled again explained.

Hearing that, Uncle Liu couldn't help but stand up and said while pointing at Mo Shang, "You... brat! Why couldn't you tell me all these at one time?"

"You didn't ask me," Mo Shang mumbled.

Liu raised his hand and said, "How dare you talk back!"

Seeing that, Mo Shang ran away. In the meantime, he said, "Master, why do you wanna hit me right after you came back? I did nothing wrong."

"Alas, it's because you asked for this," Uncle Liu took off one of his shoes and ran after Mo Shang in the room.

Mo Shang suddenly got an idea and he ran to the table to pick up the wine pot. He threatened, "Master, if you keep chasing after me, I will drop it."

"You, put it down. Put it down," Uncle Liu used the hand that held the shoe to point at Mo Shang and said.

Mo Shang took a few steps back and answered, "No, unless you promise me not to beat me."

"Oh, you now can bargain? Put it down," Liu shouted at Mo Shang.

"No," Mo Shang replied quickly.

Right at this time, someone shouted outside, "Is this Liu's Clinic?"

"Wait a moment." Uncle Liu took a look outside. Putting his shoe down, he put it on and walked out of the room.

When Uncle Liu left, Mo Shang stuck his tongue out towards Uncle Liu's back. Putting down the wine pot, he followed to walk out.

The person standing outside saw Uncle Liu walking out and asked again with a smile, "Is this Liu's Clinic?"

"Yes. What's wrong? Are you here to see a doctor?" Uncle Liu answered while looking that person up and down.

That person who looked in his forties had a ruddy face. Simply judging from his beard and outfit, Uncle Liu thought he might come from a rich family.

The man shook his hand with a smile and said, "I guess you must be Miracle Doctor Liu who can treat hundreds of diseases."

"I don't deserve that reputation. You look healthy. Is someone in your family sick?" Uncle Liu looked at him and asked.

The man walked forward and replied, "No."

"No one is ill? Then why did you come here?" Uncle Liu asked with doubt.

He hadn't met any healthy people who would go to see a doctor.

That man introduced himself, "Miracle Doctor Liu, my surname is Shan. You can call me Shan Rui. I work in the imperial hospital. Knowing that you've come back to Jing City, my dean tended to visit you. But unexpectedly, His Majesty caught a cold which held him up, so he asked me to pay a visit on behalf of him. But it's really hard to find your concealed clinic."

While speaking, Shan Rui wiped away the sweat on his forehead. He had asked many people about the clinic location and made many turns before he arrived.

"Shen Yang? Why did he want to see me?" Uncle Liu asked again. He frowned and started to think. So, Shan Rui's dean was Shen Yang who he met in Jiandu. Shen Yang was really well-informed because he should be able to ask people to visit him soon after he came back.

Shan Rui shook his head and replied, "Sorry, Miracle Doctor Liu, I don't know. Dean Shen left in haste so he didn't tell me. Neither had I asked him. He only told me to invite you to the No.1 Room in the Guibin Hotel in Jing City."

"Alright, I see," Uncle Liu nodded.

Shan Rui continued, "Miracle Doctor Liu, I've finished my task. I'd like to take my leave if you have nothing else to tell me."

"Mo Shang, see our guest out," Uncle Liu turned around and said to Mo Shang.

"Yes, Master," Mo Shang answered and walked out.

But Shan Rui shook his hand quickly and refused, "Don't bother, Miracle Doctor Liu."

Then Shan Rui turned around and left. After a while, however, he saw several alleys and frowned. He already forgot from which alley he walked here.

So he turned his head and requested smilingly, "Sorry, Miracle Doctor Liu, please ask your disciple to take me out."

"No problem. Mo Shang, see Doctor Shan out," Uncle Liu asked.

Mo Shang jogged to Shan Rui and made a gesture, "Doctor Shan, please this way."

"Well, thank you," Shan Rui replied and followed Mo Shang to walk into one alley.

Then, Uncle Liu walked back to the room and picked up the pot to have another sip.

He sighed. The reason why he located his clinic in this remote place was to keep away from trouble.

But if he started to get close to the imperial hospital dean, he might find it hard to keep a low profile.

A person in a high position was liable to be attacked. It would be inevitable for him to get in some unnecessary trouble then.

If he kept this appointment, Dean Shen would surely visit him again and again.

Thinking of that, Uncle Liu suddenly got an idea. He'd rather run away from here than just stay here to get annoyed.

But where could he go?

Suddenly, an idea occurred to him. He had sent his Saussurea to Yang Zijin before. Now, Yang Zijin was heading to Beiling, a freezing place where the snow-capped mountains must have grown more Saussurea. So he could go there. If he was lucky enough, he might even run into Yang Zijin on his way.

Then, Uncle Liu clapped and made a decision.

Coming up with this plan, Uncle Liu finally wore a smile again and sipped the wine. But it was a pity that he had to leave here right after he came back.

At this time, Mo Shang walked Shan Rui out of the alley and said to him with a smile, "Doctor Shan, follow this path, and then you will hit the road."

"If so, you don't have to walk me out anymore. I can do it myself," Shan Rui stopped to say after hearing that.

Mo Shang nodded and turned around to walk back.

Shan Rui couldn't help but chuckle while seeing Mo Shang leaving. Dean Shen said Uncle Liu was a miracle-working doctor.

So he thought the doctor would be special. However, that was just an ordinary messy old man.

Bearing that thought in mind, Shan Rui strode out of the alley to the road.

Mo Shang who had reached the clinic just stood outside to peek in. He was not sure whether Uncle Liu was still angry.

When he popped his head out to peek in again, Uncle Liu asked, "You've walked Doctor Shan out?"

"Yes, Master," Mo Shang answered while walking in slowly.

Seeing that, Uncle Liu became a bit softhearted. He had always been strict with Mo Shang and asked him to read medical books and discern different herbs everyday since he became his disciple. He usually kicked and cursed Mo Shang when he slacked off.

But Uncle Liu knew that Mo Shang would never tap his full potential if not being pushed in this way. When hearing that Mo Shang could treat Xian's broken leg, Uncle Liu realized that he had grown a lot and didn't need to hard on him anymore.

Thinking of this, Uncle Liu pointed at the chair near him and said to Mo Shang, "Sit down."

"Ma... Master, I'm fine to stand here," Mo Shang started to panic hearing that.

Liu frowned and said, "Do what I ask."

"Yes, Master," Mo Shang nodded and walked to sit on the chair opposite.

However, before Liu said anything, Mo Shang stood up quickly and reported, "Master, I didn't slack off or get up late when you were traveling. I have read books everyday and I can treat almost all complex diseases you had met before."

"I didn't ask you to tell me that. Just sit down." Uncle Liu kept frowning. It seemed that Mo Shang still saw him as a strict master.

"Master, you are not gonna blame me?" Mo Shang asked with doubt.
