"Emily!" Jason's panicking, loud voice instantly woke me up.

My heart was beating rapidly for some reason. It was very rare hearing Jason sound this scared and panicked.

I quickly stood from the bed, wore my bedroom slippers, and rushed out of my room in my sleeping robe.
