I felt trapped in that luxury room even though it was so fancy and I needed some space to breathe. I pushed myself up from the bed and walked over to the big window. The view outside stopped me in my tracks. There was the wide blue sea stretching out forever, with palm trees swaying gently and the calm grounds of the private island all around. For the first time since those men had taken me, the sight made my chest loosen up just a little. It was peaceful, and that felt new.
