"You should move on…. Today is their engagement party. She doesn't love you." His wolf spoke.
"Never, she will be the only person I will love till the end of my life."
"That is torture for both of us."
"It's best that way."

Seraphine POV
I soon grasped the rationale behind this enormous gathering after hearing Anna's explanation.
However, I had never noticed so many people on the streets at once.
Anna effectively led me through the mob while holding my hands. Anna led me to an open-air bar that was so crowded with people that it was simple to get lost in the crush, and my increased uneasiness followed me there. As she ordered our drinks, Anna took me to the bar.
She pushed me despite my reservations because it was my first time trying alcohol. Despite the fact that I found it very difficult to do so, she continued asking me to relax. I almost worried when Anna briefly vanished and several different guys began making advances toward me.
When Anna showed there and chased the guys away from the bar, I was on the verge of leaving.
Is this something? She pushed a keycard into my hands as I questioned.
She laughed, "We're definitely going to get drunk tonight."
And don't argue that you need to arrive at your house sober due of work. Our supervisor has already been informed of what transpired, so he is cool with us arriving late. Getting laid is the goal. You have that keycard; mine is this. Don't let it go.
She reassured me that everything would be fine after noticing the uncertain expression on my face.
When an enormous screen that overlooked the bar came to light and thunderous acclaim filled the room, I was attempting to convince Anna that this was a bad idea.
The TV showed an extremely gorgeous guy and an exquisite woman dressed in dazzling, pricey, ceremonial attire. Anna said, "It's Derek and Beatrice!" As soon as the cheers stopped, I heard two girls talking. Because I was close to them, I could only hear them whispering to each other.
The first girl remarked, "Derek is extremely gorgeous." She was wearing an extremely brief green gown. She was a skinny girl, with a neck that was extremely short, and her eyes flittered a lot.
The second girl responded, "Yes, he is. She was completely different from the first female, having a long neck and a round, fatty body
The girl is also lovely; rumor has it that she is the most attractive woman in the Kingdom.
The girl with the long neck answered, "I don't doubt it. On the night of the harvest moon, she was born 18 years ago.
My stomach dropped. I was born at the same same time as Beatrice. Any female wolf born under the harvest moon was thought to grow up to be exceptionally strong and breathtakingly beautiful. The cursed harvest moon only appeared once a year.
She may have been given special abilities and beauty by the universe, but it forgot about me.
And even though Beatrice and I were born simultaneously, her fate turned out far better than mine.
I turned my head away from the TV and scanned the crowd. Everyone, except for him, had a beaming smile firmly placed on their faces.
He appeared to be hoping the engagement would not take place as he glared icily at the television. His steadfast gaze was accompanied by a chilling aura that emanated from him like dirty chimney smoke. Although he was standing stiffly, he had a startlingly calm expression on his face, as if he didn't care about what was happening on the screen even though he was paying close attention to it.
The man abruptly drank the beverage in his hands all at once, tore his eyes away from the screen, and fixed them on me as if he knew I was watching him. I was startled by his cold, blue gaze, and I jerked my head to the screen.
The crowd roared in joy when the pair on the television kissed. The more the couple continued to kiss one other on the screen, the colder the aura that surrounded the male seemed to become.
The long-necked girl's mournful voice attracted my attention, "...extremely sorrowful." I feel awful for the second prince.
The overweight girl asked, "Nathaniel?"
“Why?”
Did you not know? I immediately paid attention to her whispers because they had a hint of rich eagerness that suggested she was ready to unveil a sinister secret.
The fat girl asked with excitement written all over her face, "Know what?"
The girl responded, "Beatrice is the second prince's fated mate. They were truly in love and dating.
The big girl asked, her surprised expression mirroring mine, "Then why is she engaging Derek, the first prince?"
Even if he is the most powerful Lycan in Silver Moon, the second prince cannot become the Lycan king, according to the long-necked female.
Despite being inferior, the first prince is the rightful owner of the birthright. The second prince allegedly wants to kill the first prince, according to speculations. The second prince is also cursed.
I believed I had the worst fate imaginable, yet I felt a great deal of sympathy for the second prince. I understood what it meant to be rejected, despised, and denied one's legal rights. I was also aware of how difficult it was to be apart from one's soul mate.
I looked away from the joyful pair to the man I had earlier seen, but he was no longer there. I was scanning the throng with my eyes when Anna ran into me carrying a cup of red liquid.
"Have fun?" Got someone in your sights? She questioned, "Who are you looking for?
I quickly said, staring at the cup in her palm, "No one," Why is that there?
She chuckled, "It's for you." So that you can get even with your nasty partner for cheating on you, I'll let you unwind and have fun.
I fumbled and said, "I'm not sure. “I…”
Don't ruin the fun, she sulked. "Sip some."
Although I didn't want to drink, she was correct. She appeared to really want me to drink it, and I didn't want to let down someone who was watching out for me. I needed to let loose and have some fun.
She enthusiastically cheered, "Good," as I drank the beverage. She said, "I'll go get more," and then vanished.
As I approached my breaking point, my body appeared to reject the beverage. I got to my feet, immediately pulled out the key card Anna had given me earlier, and headed for the hotel that had a view of the bar. It must be where Anna reserved a room for us because it was the only one in the area. I fought to go to the hotel and find my room because I didn't want to pass out in front of strangers.
As I entered the hotel and made my way down the corridor to my room, my eyes were on the verge of going out. The moment I spotted a door with the desired number written on it, I pulled it open.
I smelled him again right then. that recognizable odor.
"Mate!"
