“What's wrong?” I asked.

She flinched. Suspiciously.

“It's just a spam call from some number.” was her response.

“A spam call, enough to get you that pissed off?”

“It's nothing serious Kane. You know how these things are.” she forced a smile.

Something was wrong. There was something she wasn't telling me. I thought we'd crossed the threshold of keeping secrets from eachother. Maybe she needs a little more time. I decided not to push it.
