Chapter 02

I remained calm and silent as soon as I gained my consciousness. Minutes had passed before I finally realized what happened. I tried my best to think of any reason why this happened, or whoever would try to do this to me. I am sure that it's from my organization. I am an Agent after all, I should know a thing once this happens.

I was relieved when I felt that I still had my clothes on. I felt a little scared when I remembered what kind of clothes I wore earlier, shit. Both of my wrists are locked by the cuffs. Aside from the cuffs, I can also feel a rope around my whole body. They made me wear a blindfold too. I smirked when I realized something.

"She's a what?" I heard a woman's voice.

"A prostitute..." A man answered her. I bet they're talking about me.

"Diveghn's girlfriend?" Someone asked again. It's a different voice.

I wanted to correct them and deny the question, but I suddenly realized something. Wait a minute... is this Mr. Flint's goons? So he was the reason why this happened? That man, really!

"Where is she?"

And then, confirmed!

"Cap!" They all greeted

Cap?

"She's awake..." the woman stated. Suddenly, I felt someone harshly remove my blindfold.

I gritted my teeth as I roamed my eyes around. It's already dark outside. Only the light on the post lamp illuminates the whole place. I was surprised to see us inside an abandoned train station. We're currently inside. It's dirty and messy around. Broken glasses everywhere, dust and spider webs. Broken wheels and seat. I really looked like a hostage here. I am sitting on the old brown dusty swivel chair. I tried to wiggle to escape but I failed. I glared at them one by one. I was right, there were two males and one female... And then the last one is Mr. fucking Flint.

"Hello there, Lady Hyacinth..." he playfully greeted me.

My jaw clenched. "What do you f*cking want, Flint?" I uttered angrily.

"I already told-"

I didn't let him finish what he was trying to say.

"F*ck you! Just because I don't want to be your Apprentice, huh? This is what you're gonna do?! To kidnap me?! Are you out of your f*cking mind?!" I snapped. "I was fucking scrared and anxious! This was the first time that this happened to me! Damn you!"

They seem shocked by my sudden burst out. His grin faded. I continued, "I already told you multiple times! How many times should I repeat it to you?! Huh? Why can't you understand and accept my decision?"

They were all silent. I yelled so loud. The other three behind him look amused while watching the both of us. My brow furrowed.

"Who are they?" I asked while looking at the three people after I calmed down.

"My agents..."

My brow raised. "Oh, you already have your own agents, why do you still need me?"

He rolled his eyes like he's bored that we've been repeatedly arguing over this matter. "I need an apprentice, and I want you as my-"

"I don't like it and I am not really interested, so back off! I don't want to work with you! So, release me here and just leave me alone!"

"What if I don't?" Mr. Flint's eyes narrowed at me.

I looked at him incredulously. Is he crazy?

"I'll f*cking kill you, then." I muttered angrily.

The moment I said it, three different guns were suddenly pointed at me. Two from the men standing at the left and right corner, and one from the woman in the middle, standing beside Diveghn.

I didn't let them see how shocked I was. Wow, is this his own team? They're too fast and obviously has an excellent skills. Is he serious that he still want me to be his Apprentice when he already has these best agents with him?

"Drop the guns," Diveghn commanded in full authority. They followed him silently and hid the guns in the holster. They went to the right side together and just watched us like a statue.

Diveghn gave his full attention to me. Our eyes met as the side of my lips rose up.

"I will kill you..." I repeated while clenching my jaw.

"Shoot me, then..." He smirked and handed me the Glock 18 gun. He nodded as if telling me to get it.

I glared at him. He's starting to get into my nerves! I took a deep breath and pulled my hips upwards. They're not aware that I already removed the rope in some parts of my body. They're not that attentive, I guess? It's the reason why I can freely move my legs and use it to make an attack. I put a force and pressure to my kick that made the gun fly through the window of the train, causing it to break into pieces.

I saw how their eyes widened and how their lips parted in surprise. Diveghn was taken aback at first, but he instantly came back to his senses. He cussed and immediately took his phone out from the pocket of his slacks, He dialed something on his phone, before he put in a loudspeaker.

I was curious and confused at first, but when I suddenly heard a familiar voice of a child... I started to panic.

"Dawn! Help! These bad guys caught me and Brother Cole!" Hiro said, my little brother.

My eyes widened. "Hiro!"

What the hell?!

Worry consumed me, I was infuriated. My lips trembled as I tried to wiggle on my seat. I screamed at the top of my lungs while cursing him to death.

"Asshole, fuck you! You have no mercy! You even dragged both of my siblings here, damn you! You're the worst jerk!"

I badly want to kill him right now, right there! I feel so helpless with my state right now.

Diveghn pushed his tongue in the side of his cheek. He ended the cool in an instant. I watched how he put back his phone inside his pocket, but my I was distacted when he kept catching gaze. My teeth keep gnashing in anger.

"I swear to God, Devighn... Don't you dare lay your hands on my siblings-"

He cut me off. His eyes leveled mine. He slightly leaned forward.

"Oh, I'm scared of Hyacinth... Why? What can you do to make my legs tremble?" He insultingly asked.

I didn't answer.

"Why are you threatening me anyway? I am the one who should be threatening you right now, right?" His head tilted a bit. "If you want your brother alive... Then do what I want... be my apprentice."

I released an exasperated sigh. "Really? You'll really go this far just because of that?!"

He was about to get his phone again, to call my brothers, I guess? So, I had no choice but to stop him.

"Wait!" I yelled.

As expected, he seems satisfied from the reaction that he got from me. "Hmm, do you need anything Lady Hyacinth?" His tone made me want to hurt him even more!

I know I have to swallow my pride right now. My brothers' lives are at stake here. He's stepping on my ego, and even if it's hurting me so bad, I need to prioritize their lives first. It's always them above anything. It's always them, before me.

I don't really know why he is forcing me to do this, but one thing's for sure... I'll have my revenge once I get a chance! Maybe he thought I would never get my Vengeance just because he's the Commander's nephew. I don't care!

Fine, I'll let him taste his victory now... But I swear, I'll get my revenge soon.

I took a deep breath. "What does an Apprentice usually do?" I asked in a small voice. I looked away to hide the embarrassment that I am feeling.

"Oh... she agreed?" I heard a man's voice from one of his Agents.

I gave him a quick glance. The man has curly hair. He has the same height as Diveghn and the other man. His opposite is very much different compared to the man beside him. If Diveghn has dark features, he has the opposite. He looks soft and playful, while the other man beside him looks nice and kind too... Well, I'm not sure about that though. I don't really know them.

"Hey, eyes on me Hyacinth..." Diveghn called my attention.

I rolled my eyes as I looked at him with no interest at all. "What?"

He massively sighed, shaking his head silently. He signaled something to his Agents before closing the distance between us. My body froze when he suddenly hugged me. Thankfully, his agents already left us alone!

"H-huh-"

I thought he was actually hugging me, but I was wrong! Suddenly, I felt him untying the remaining rope around me. I also heard the sound of the unlocked handcuffs behind me.

"Fucking-finally!" I exclaimed while stretching in front of him.

"Here, sign this. Just to make sure that you won't get back what you said." Then he gave me a bunch of papers I should sign. That's too many!

"What's that?"

He pursed his lips. "A c-contract."

"For what?"

"For being my Apprentice."

I sighed in annoyance before I took the ballpen from him and immediately signed the front page of the paper without reading all of it. "Done, is that all?" I sarcastically said as I gave it back to him.

His smile widened after he looked at my signature there. He looked relieved as he put it back inside the attache case. Then he went back beside me again while slowly removing his suit.

"Here, wear this."

My brow creased in confusion. Before I could even ask, he quickly stopped me from declining. "It's already late, It's too cold outside, you might get sick."

I rolled my eyes. "It's your fault!"

DIveghn scoffed and just silently put it on me. He was left with his white long sleeve button down shirt.

"Where are my brothers?" I asked.

Diveghn started to walk so I followed him. I kept looking from the left and right side of the place. It looks creepy, to be honest. I feel like anytime there will be some ghosts or zombies that might appear anywhere.

"At the Atlas' HQ."

"Just make sure that he's safe, or else... I wouldn't think twice to kill all of you," I threatened. I don't care if he's not scared of me or what, but I'll make sure that the time will come that they will be afraid of me.

I heard him cackling. "He's safe, don't worry-" he was cut off by the sound from his walkie talkie. Diveghn took it from his pocket.

"Cap! Dawn! 911, Kreios!" His Agents yelled.

Our eyes met the moment we heard the emergency call. Our eyes were wide open while thinking of something to do and something to get or use.

"Location?" Diveghn asked in a calm yet alerted voice.

"Left side line 1," the female agent replied. "They're few, Captain... more like 20-30 people."

I released a sigh of relief and faced Diveghn. "That's good. Give me a gun, dagger or any weapon that I could use. I am not ready!"

He put down his walkie talkie before he took two guns from his back. He offered the other gun to me. I took it from him before starting to run where the enemies were located.

"Where's the gun earlier? The one that flew at the window?" I asked while scanning the gun that he gave me. It's a M9A3 Pistol, in a brown shade. I bit my lip when I realized that I am not used to using this gun. I glanced at the one he's holding right now, it's similar to mine.

"They already took it a while ago," Diveghn replied.

"I want another one." Just to be sure.

Diveghn sighed and took a M9A1 Pistol from his back. I think there are multiple gun holsters plastered on his slacks, that's why. I grinned when I already got it. I scanned both of my guns before shuffling it.

I noticed how focused Diveghn was while we're trying to look for some spot to hide. Seems like he's ready anytime to fire his gun. We're currently hiding at the back of the broken train. It's tilted and down on the ground. It probably fell a long time ago.

"Are you comfortable there?" Diveghn asked. He just gave me a quick glance to check me.

I nodded and fixed his suit that I am wearing. There is some dirt on his suit, I don't mind though. He insisted to let me borrow it for a while. It's his fault, not mine. And we're in the middle of the war, so it's not our priority anymore.

"Cap, they're almost there!" His agents informed us, so we alerted ourselves.

"Roger."

I slightly peaked upwards to check where are the possible directions the assassins will come out. Kreios Organization is the main enemy of Atlas Organization.

"Shoot them, baby..." Diveghn sexily whispered.

I was kinda startled, the reason why I was a bit late to attack them. I muttered a curse under my breath as I positioned myself properly. I used my one knee to kneel while the other one was stepping on the ground directly. I straightened my back and pointed my gun towards the newcomers before pulling the trigger.

One for me, and one for Diveghn.

Bulls eye.

"Nice shot," Diveghn complimented.

"Shut up, please." He's a distraction. What does he think of this? A fucking play? A joke? This is serious!

We continued firing guns to our opponents. Just like what his agents said, they're more or less 20 or 30. I smirked when I realized how boring it was.

"Where's the thrill," I grunted.

I caught Diveghn's attention. He was almost shot when he took a glance at me. I chuckled and made my move. Bye, Mr. Flint.

Raking my fingers over my long messy hair, I stood up and stepped on the top of the train's window. I saw how the assassins arrived one by one.

"Fuck, Hyacinth!" I heard Diveghn hissing behind me. "Hey, come down!"

I didn't mind him, instead I started aiming at the attackers. An evil yet satisfied smile escaped on my lips while firing the enemies. And of course, Diveghn is helping me too.

I smirked when I saw the last assassin from afar. I shrugged and pretended to wipe away the imaginary dust on my shoulder.

"That's your last shot..." I winked at him and jerked my head towards the man.

His lips parted in disbelief. Diveghn shook his head in amusement while licking his lips.

"You're unbelievable... I was right when I chose you as my Apprentice. No regrets," he said before shooting a gun to one remaining enemy.

Tss. "Is this why you like me that much?"

Diveghn chuckled and took his walkie talkie instead. He didn't answer my question, I don't need his answer though.

"Please, clean the corpse here," he commanded.

"We already called someone to clean the mess, Cap. Noted."

"We're leaving. The three of you should be left here. I'll go with Hyacinth." Then he looked at me. My brow shot up.

"Where are you taking me?" I asked.

"We'll go back to the bar? You're working right? It's still your working hours."

My jaw dropped. "What? You're gonna let me work after this happens? I was almost traumatized!"

The side of his lips tugged up, "We're not yet done, don't worry. I told you, I owned your time till tomorrow, remember? I paid for it."

"Fuck you," I uttered.

"Oh, come on, sweetheart, let me fuck you..." He was about to close our distance when I quickly pointed my gun to him. He stopped and made a step backward.

"Don't come near me, or I'll shoot."

"You won't do it, I'm your Commander. Right, My Apprentice?" he smirked and caught my hand that was holding the gun. He pulled me closer to him as he snaked his arms around my waist. Our gazes met.

"Fine, Commander. You win."

He laughed. "No, baby... You win."
