Chapter Two

With a nudge of his head, George ordered Gregg to take her out and the obedient assistant nodded his head.

Roughly, he gripped Naomi by the forearm and forced her out of the office, ignoring her whimpers from the pain he was causing her.

Tossing her to the ground, he grunted disgustedly after taking one look at her and walked away shaking his head.

Naomi picked herself up after a second, trying to stop the tears that pricked at her eyes. She dashed down the hall, racing for her matrimonial bedroom and itslammed the door once she was in its comfort.

With her back pressed to the door, she fell to the ground with tears pouring down her face. The pain from every item that hit her was finally kicking in and aches everywhere.

She rose from the ground and walked towards her floor-length mirror. Fresh blood sipped out from the cut on her forehead and her face was bruised in different spots.

How could they not even want to hear her own words? Believing an ex-girlfriend over a wife.

She was very sure more of those bruises would be on her body. She could feel them aching and the grip from Gregg still hurt badly.

After a minute of weeping, she decided to change into something more comfortable this time, not trying to look pretty or presentable to anyone. Just a pair of free grey-colored pants and top.

Sitting on her bed, she waited for her husband to return from the hospital so she could explain to him better. Hopefully, he will believe her.

Almost as if he had waited for her to finish thinking, the door pushed open and Justin walked in and went straight to the large drawer at a corner of the room. Almost as if he hadn't noticed her.

Taking a deep breath, she calmed her nerves before approaching him. "Justin, won't you even ask me what really happened?"

Justin seemed to stop his search for whatever it was he was looking for. He paused and turned around to face her. "What really happened?" His brow arched as he asked.

"Yes." She responded.

He let out a soft laugh. "What really happened?!" His voice was loud as he spoke. No, I don't need to ask, because I saw what really happened! We all did! Now Grace is still unconscious, and my phone has been blowing up with damn calls from the press! You just had to show the world the little demon that lived in you, huh...

"What? You believe her? She did that to herself to frame me! "And you should believe me because I am your wife! "You chose me over her three years ago because you... "You love me." Tears trailed down her face as she spoke. Her heart ached so much because all she wanted was for him to believe her.

"Love? No, I don't love you. You made a mistake. I made a mistake I knew I would regret and now... Here I am."

"What...?" The question was stuck in her throat as she stared unbelievably at him.

He pushed past her side and walked out of the room, slamming the door behind himself.

Naomi felt suffocated. The room was suddenly a place too small for her to be. She couldn't bring herself to sobber, her heart drowned. All along, she knew.

She picked up her phone and dialed out a number with fidgeting fingers. "Hello, please come pick me up. "I want to get out of here." She sobbed into the phone.

Moments later, an X5 BMW was parked outside the house and a beautiful blondie came down from it. Her name was Lilly Perez, and she was closer than a sister to Naomi.

Naomi was seated outside the house when Lilly arrived, and she ran to her for a hug. Falling apart as she cried.

"It's okay love, I'm here for you now," Lilly said in an attempt to comfort her friend.

"You were right, he never loved me." "I'm going to get a divorce and end things finally." Naomi sobbed loudly as she explained.

"Then you should be happy!" "Let's go get your stuff!" Lilly dragged her best friend back into the building and helped her pack her things before they finally left for her place.

After a while, Naomi was calm and though she wasn't hungry, her best friend had forced her to eat something light.

"Look at all of these bruises." We'll go somewhere together tomorrow and take care of all of them. "You'll be better in no time, okay?" Lilly assured and Naomi nodded.

"You're the best, Lilly."

Lily smiled and hugged her friend. "Let's get some sleep now, big day tomorrow girl!"

Justin heaved a heavy sigh. Everything was just too much for him to digest so easily. His phone was about to blow up with several calls from the press. All of which he ignored.

His eyes traveled to the clock hanging on the wall, and he noticed it was half past midnight, yet no sign of his wife.

"Didn't she know better than to lock herself in the room acting angry after the mess she caused?" "That woman really is something else." "Not the woman I married, I'm sure." He muttered to himself.

He signaled for one of the passing housemaids and she hurried over. "Where is my wife?" Didn't anyone tell her that I was back? "Go up to her room and call her right now!" He ordered angrily.

The maid still remained in the same spot though nervousness played on her face like a perfect performance on a stage.

Justin -- thankfully-- wasn't slow enough to miss the signals. "What is it?" "Tell me, did something happen?" A look of seriousness played on his face as he asked.

"Uhm... Sir... She uh... Earlier, Madam's friend, Ms Perez, came over and helped Madam pack her things out of the house. She dropped this off and said "we gave it to you, but you were--"

Justin snatched a white paper from her hand and discarded her. She left after a bow and only then did he open the paper that seemed to be a note.

"You don't have to worry about your mistake anymore," the note read.

His forehead creased as a stern expression sat on his face. He called Gregg, who appeared almost instantly. "Find out where my wife went, she cannot leave like that."

Gregg gave a slight nod. "Yes Sir."
