Chapter Four

Sitting with her back straightened in her seat, Naomi took a sip from the cup of tea in her hand and nervously returned it to the table.

Scott Lewis, the man she had turned down three years ago to be with her husband, was sitting right in front of her.

He was still looking as handsome as he was the first time they met.

"How are you holding up?" He asked her. "I recently learned about everything that's going on."

"I'm okay." She responded with a smile. But I really didn't hurt her! It was just a plan of hers to ruin me!"

"I know. Which is why I did some digging to help you clear your name and I think you'll be pleased with what I have." He announced as he reached into his pocket.

"Wait, you believe me?" She seemed confused.

"Of course I do. "I know who you are, and I know you will never hurt someone, no matter how much they hurt you."

Naomi felt his words touch her heart. He hadn't seen her in three years, yet he believed her at once. Yet her own husband, whom she had lived with for those three years, didn't even want to hear her out. He had decided on his own.

Scott had a warm smile on his face. He took out a flash drive and handed it to her. "I was able to get my hands on the security footage of that day and I know you can clear your name with this."

She accepted it with a grateful heart. "Wow! This is huge! Thank you so much."

"I know you can put it to good use." It's late, I'll be on my way now. "I hope we can see again," he announced as he rose to his feet.

Naomi saw him outside of Lilly's apartment, and she felt like she could finally breathe after he was gone. She couldn't help but to feel guilty about turning him down three years ago.

Lilly could see through her best friend and she hugged her. "I didn't know he was in town. How did he even know to find you here?"

"I don't know, but I'm saved now thanks to him. Can you contact any reporters? "I think the whole world has to see things with their own eyes," Naomi suggested, and Lilly nodded her head.

"I got you covered friend!" She smiled.

"I'm looking forward to tomorrow," Naomi started with a smile.

Morning came and Naomi was already prepared for D-Day to begin. Dressed in a red sexy dress that hugged her curves and black wedge heels.

Standing at the entrance of the court, Justin checked his watch repeatedly, checking the time.

It was already quarter past ten and Naomi was yet to arrive. He had been there before with his sister, Sarah.

Sarah hissed. "Where is that heartless b*tch?! How dare she keep us waiting! Who does she think she is?"

He thought to himself, 'Maybe she has realized that she was wrong to try to divorce me in the first place, and now she regrets it. She is probably too scared to show up today, unable to admit her mistake.'

Before a smirk could work up on his face, an expensive-looking car parked in front of the court and a handsome-looking man came down from it.

Without wasting any time, he went and opened the door to the passenger seat and Justin couldn't believe it when his wife came down from it.

She was more beautiful than he had ever seen. Rage filled him as the handsome man kept close to Naomi, and she smiled as he whispered something to her.

"That slut!" Sarah spat out.

Naomi stopped right in front of Justin. "Did you wait long? I had business to attend to. Shall we?"

"How dare you keep us waiting?" Sarah angrily yelled, but to her surprise, Naomi only spared her a Gregg.

She continued towards the entrance of the courtroom with Scott close to her when Justin suddenly gripped her by the forearm.

"We need to talk," he said in a commanding tone.

"I don't think you have anything more to talk about," Scott said in a firm tone as he pulled Naomi closer to himself.

Justin felt confused. Who the hell was this stranger?

Naomi smiled. "It's okay, go in, I'll be a minute." She said to Scott.

After a hesitant minute, he went in.

Justin chuckled. "What is this? You're already seeing another man?"

"Is that what you wanted to say to me?" She plainly asked.

He released his grip from her hand and dipped them in his pocket. "Have you thought this through? You sure you won't regret leaving me?"

"Tch," Naomi chortled. "I'm sure."

With that being said, she left him standing and walked into the courtroom. Justin still couldn't believe how confident his wife had become. Normally she would never dare to look him in the eye, but now she wasn't even afraid to speak as she wished.

Did she really not care about all the wealth she would be missing out on? After all, she was a poor nobody.

Heaving out his thoughts along with a sigh, he walked into the courtroom with his sister and, just like that, their marriage was over.

On their way out, Naomi suddenly stopped and walked towards him. "Oh! Before I forget, I prepared a parting gift for you. I'm pretty sure you'll love it."

Justin was confused, but she left before he could ask any questions. Almost immediately, she drove off with her new fling-- according to Justin's point of view - his phone started to ring, and he took it out of his pocket.

He was surprised to see that it was his father calling him. Though he was surprised, he immediately answered the phone. "Dad?"

"That's good for nothing backstabbing b*tch! "How dare she do something so terrible?!" George Miller yelled out.

"Dad, I think the divorce was not such a bad idea--"

"Not that you fool! The world has known the truth! What are we going to do?"

Justin squinted. "The truth?"

Gregg hurried

I went down from the driver's seat and rushed towards Justin. "Sir, I think you should see this."

Justin was surprised by the video Gregg showed him. He couldn't believe his own eyes. "Oh no..."
