Chapter 5

Ren woke to the faint sound of rustling. He looked around, realising he wasn't in Liam's apartment; he jumped up from the bed.

The bed he was in felt nothing like the one he’d left behind in Liam’s apartment. This one looks soft and silky; it should be expensive.

The room was silent; he rubbed his eyes and blinked at the full rack of clothing hung against the far wall. It was a full wardrobe. And it wasn't there yesterday.

It was filled with some exposing suits, shirts, tight-fitting trousers, and a few things he didn’t even recognise but knew were expensive.

Everything looked like it had been tailored for him to his size. Some of it… didn’t even look like it should be worn in public.

He dragged himself to the closet, sighing. “So I’m really doing this,” he muttered to himself, pulling on one of the less exposed black turtlenecks and a jacket.

He showered, thinking he was going to be doing some housework chores since Ciro had offered him a large amount of money.

He walked out of his room, finding his way downstairs towards the kitchen; there was a woman cleaning the place up.

She was known for taking care of Ciro since he was young; she had always been his guardian.

“Ummm... good morning,” Ren greeted.

She turned to him and smiled, “Good morning. Don't worry; the young master already told me about you,” she whispered, looking shy. “To be sincere, he hasn't brought anyone of his boyfriends home before; you are the first one he brought home.”

“Really? That's great,” he smiled awkwardly.

“I'll be preparing breakfast; maybe I'll bring it upstairs to your room. Young Master won't be here for breakfast; he has work to do.”

“Ohhh, I'll just be in my room; don't worry about breakfast.”

“Are you sure? Uh.... I'm not good with that.”

“Don’t worry about that; I'll be fine. Besides, I don't feel hungry,” Ren replied without waiting for an answer andwent upstairs.

***

It was already evening. Ren had been sleeping for the rest of the day; it was his first time spending the day without Liam.

A man came to the door and silently gestured for Ren to follow; he just bowed down a bit. “The boss has requested to see you,” he said without waiting for an answer.

Ren said nothing; he just followed the man going to Ciro's office.

“Dress up nicely for an event,” Ciro said immediately. Ren was inside; he didn't even raise his head up to see Ren had come; he just waved for him to go.

“What kind of attitude is this?” Ren whispered to himself, frowning.

After dressing up, Ciro had already informed a guy to take him to the car. He was already waiting by the car.

Ren looked so hot, dressed in those white pants and suit shirt, with his short hair. The earrings that were already pierced were already present on his ear; he was putting on some accessories, making him look so good. He looked so ethereal in white.

Ciro didn't say much; he just stared at him a bit to his satisfaction before signalling for his driver to move.

***

The drive was silent; Ren just fiddled with his fingers a bit shyly; his eyes never left. his fingers, he seemed to find confidence staring at his fingers.

After some minutes of driving, they arrived at what looked like a private suite. There was already an event in motion.

Many people were present; some men with businesses like attire like Ciro. Ciro didn't dress too seriously, though.

Ren took one step inside and already felt like he didn't belong there; he was feeling less like he wasn't meant to be there.

Ciro didn't wait. He walked in with Ren beside him and, without warning, slipped his hand around Ren’s waist.

Ren jolted; he just played along, allowing Ciro to belt his waist.

Ciro walked up to a particular group of people; they were old men older than him.

“Mr Don”, they echoed all together.

Ciro just smiled, greeting each of them with a handshake.

They were discussing something about business, but it was making Ren uncomfortable. They were staring at him as if asking who he was; he just cleared his throat, attracting Ciro's attention.

“Oh, this is Ren. He’s my man.” Ciro said very boldly, making Ren go wide-eyed.

They were so surprised that they stared so dumbfounded.

Ciro just smiled at their confused face. “I’ll leave you guys to it.” With that, he went off, taking Ren with him.

He didn’t introduce Ren further, but he could hear people whispering.

Ciro didn't push it; he just patted Ren's back. “Wait a bit here for me,” he whispered, taking off.

Ren just nodded at him, smiling. Ren just strolled around staring at things when this man approached him.

He was about to touch him when Ciro shot out, “Don’t touch what isn’t yours,” he said without looking up from his wine.

The man laughed nervously after seeing Ciro protective of his little date.

The night ended soon. Ciro took Ren to the car; he didn't talk; he just walked with Ren trailing behind him.

The ride to the mansion was silent, with Ren thinking about what he had gotten himself into. “I need to call Liam when I get home,” he murmured.

Arriving home, he made his way out quickly with Ciro following behind. He was barely through the door of the mansion when he turned to thank the driver, and Ciro grabbed his wrist very roughly.

“What are you....” He couldn't complete his speech when Ciro pulled him in. kissing him hard.

Ren’s eyes went wide.

But Ciro didn’t stop.

He nibbled Ren's lip forcefully, requesting entrance. Ren stumbled slightly, one hand instinctively pressing against Ciro’s chest.

Ciro pulled out a bit. He barely had time to breathe before his mouth claimed Ren's again, this time slower, like he was trying to feel how Ren tasted.

When Ciro finally pulled away, breathing slowly and licking his lips, his face was unreadable.

Ren just stood there dumbfounded.

His lips were swollen, and his face looked flushed, red like a tomato.

“…What,” Ren whispered, blinking rapidly, “was that?”

Ciro adjusted his cuffs, expression flat.

“Just wanted to feel how you taste.” Then he walked away.
