I could not believe Mother told her all about those things. Who knew what more that woman told her?

I kept it a secret from her, lest she should hate me.

But now it was all over. She told me she loved me, the vet I could not calm down.

I broke the hug and held her face with both of my hands. She looked very red as if she was breathless. Even her whole body was hot as if it was a fever.

The doctor said that nothing major was wrong with her. But she told me not to do it ...
