Evelyn and Merrick were dancing, Mother was chatting with a noblewoman, little Ava was nowhere to be seen and Demetrius went for some work.

I was resting in a chair. Prince Caius, Crown Prince Carey offered me to dance with them and I could not refuse since most people were eyeing us with expectation. Now I was exhausted.
