As I leaned back in my chair, I couldn’t help but think of the happenings of the day. Zane hadn’t changed one bit. He still had so much ego that he wrapped himself in like armor. I thought seeing me and all I have become would make him beg forgiveness after realizing the evil he did. Rather, he chose to validate it with silly excuses. Weak and pathetic ones.
