“Answer me, Zara!” he thundered.

I froze on the couch, my chest tightening fast. I looked over to Leo, who had no idea we had been caught as he was flipping pancakes in the kitchen.

“You know what? This is not something to discuss over the phone. Come to my office now!” he barked and hung up before I could make a sound.
