I felt the room spin as the words left my mouth.

Zara froze, her eyes flickering sideways as colour drained from her already pale face. I felt the weight of her worry match the twisting in my stomach. 

My fists itched to punch that goddamn Zane in the face at the thought that he was now a walking free man.
