The grand halls of the werewolf kingdom buzzed with anticipation as Alpha King Jayson sat at the head of a grand oak table, surrounded by his council of wise elders and his son, Prince Jayden.
The flickering candlelight cast dancing shadows on the walls, enhancing the seriousness of their discussion regarding the upcoming mating and crowning ceremony set to take place in just three and a half weeks, an event steeped in tradition and significance.
The scent of old leather and parchment wafted through the air, mingling with the earthy aroma of the forest beyond the castle walls. As the king's council deliberated, the sound of rustling papers and murmured conversations filled the room.
Prince Jayden leaned forward as he asked, "Father, have we received any news from the Lycan? I've been hearing rumors about them." Just as the king was about to respond, Jessica, the king's astute and composed secretary, stepped into the chamber, her voice breaking the weighty. "Your Majesty, there's an urgent call for you," she announced, her expression tinged with concern.
The king arched an eyebrow, curiosity piqued and slightly annoyed. "Who is it?” he asked, his deep voice commanding attention. “And whose call could possibly warrant your interruption during such an important conversation?" he inquired, his tone a mixture of authority and intrigue.
Jessica hesitated, her eyes darting around the room before focusing on the king. "The person said he's from the Lycan race, Your Majesty. He insists and wishes to speak with you regarding a matter of utmost importance," she explained, her voice steady amid the rising tension in the room.
The king's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with possibilities. What could the Lycan want? He hadn't had any significant dealings or heard from them in centuries since their seclusion, and their paths and business had rarely crossed since then.
At the mention of the Lycan, a collective whisper echoed as the council members exchanged furtive glances. The Lycan, a powerful and often feared race, had long been whispered about among the other races, but few dared to cross them.
Prince Jayden leaned back in his chair, his eyes fixed on his father. "Father, perhaps this is related to business or about the rumor of the Lycan opening soon?" he suggested, his voice low. The king's gaze turned to his son, his expression thoughtful.
"It's possible, Jayden. I'll take the call and find out." "Connect the call," the king commanded, his voice resolute but laced with an undercurrent of apprehension. Jessica promptly stepped out of the room, her movements swift and purposeful as she established the connection.
Moments later, her voice drifted back into the chamber, "The call is live, Your Majesty." "Hello, good afternoon. You are speaking with king Jayson," the king greeted, his voice steady yet cautious as he leaned closer to the speaker. The conversation flowed, rich with gravity as they discussed.
The king's eyes narrowed as he listened intently to the person's words. He could feel the weight of the council's gaze upon him, their anticipation palpable. After several tense moments, the king nodded, his expression settling into a look of determination. "Alright, we will be there," he affirmed before concluding the call. "Very well," the voice on the other end of the line replied, the tone serious. "We expect your arrival soon"
As he set down the receiver, curiosity surged amongst the elders. "What was that about? I hope all is well. What did the Lycan say to you?" they pressed, their voices tinged with a mix of worry and intrigue.
The king's expression turned thoughtful, his eyes scanning the room as he collected his thoughts. "It's rather complicated, and I need to discuss it with everyone at once," he replied, his tone firm yet reassuring. "I will call a meeting with all the packs so we can tackle this together."
The elders nodded in agreement, their faces set with determination. They knew that the king's word was law, and they trusted his judgment. "Alright, I'll summon all the packs for emergency meetings tomorrow afternoon," Prince Jayden announced, determination flashing in his eyes."We'll make sure everyone is informed and prepared."
With that, the meeting came to a close, the ambiance shifting from tension to a focused urgency. The initial reasons for the meeting were momentarily forgotten, replaced by a sense of collective purpose. As the elders filed out of the room, they whispered among themselves, speculating about what the Lycan could want.
The following day, all the high-ranking members of the werewolf kingdom, with the Alpha and Luna of each pack, had already arrived for the meeting. They gathered in the grand council chamber, its high ceilings and stone walls imposing a sense of gravity on the proceedings.
The Alpha king Jayson stood before the gathering, the tension in the air thick with expectation. "Good afternoon, everyone. I trust you are not displeased with this emergency meeting," he began, his voice resonating with authority. "Not at all, Your Majesty. Your call implies the presence of an urgent matter," the elders, Alphas, and Lunas replied earnestly, their faces a mask of seriousness. Each pair of eyes was fixed intently on the king, awaiting his words.
The king's gaze swept the room, meeting the expectant faces before him. He took a deep breath, his mind focused on the revelation he was about to share. "Yes, there is indeed a matter of great importance," the king declared, his eyes scanning the assembly.
The room fell silent, anticipation hanging in the air like a palpable force. “ As you all know, we and the Lycans have close ties and connections. We both were species created and worship the same goddess, the Moon Goddess.
According to our mythology, the Lycans were the Moon Goddess's first creation, while we werewolves were her second. This distinction is reflected in our physical forms: we stand on four legs in our wolf form, whereas Lycans stand on two legs, appearing more brutal and imposing due to their larger size.
We werewolves and Lycans share similar cultures and traditions, deeply rooted in our mythology. Our mythology is filled with stories of the Moon Goddess, who created us and gifted us with unique abilities.
We believe the Moon Goddess watches over and guides us, showing devotion through various rituals and offerings. We communicate with her through seer. We also deeply respect our ancestors, believed to possess great wisdom and knowledge.
The king continued, his expression remained calm and authoritative as he revealed the shocking news. "We received communication from the Lycan Empire," he said, his voice measured and serious. The room erupted into a flurry of questions and murmurs.
"What did the Lycan want?" one Alpha exclaimed, disbelief etched on his face. "We thought they were in seclusion and rarely communicated with the world except for important business. They didn't even have dealings with us despite our close ties since their seclusion"
"Even if they called, what could possibly compel them to call?" one of the Lunas inquired, worrying, shadowing her expression. "I hope everything is alright." The king's demeanor remained steady as he responded, "All is well. The Lycan Empire has reached out to inform us of their opening to the world and have also invited us to the gathering of their celebration.
It seems they have a matter of great importance to discuss with all the races represented." The room fell silent, the weight of the king's words sinking in.
The Alphas and Lunas exchanged uneasy glances, their minds racing with possibilities. "When is the celebration?" Someone in the crowd asked, eager yet anxious, their faces reflecting a mix of curiosity and apprehension.
The king's expression remained calm and authoritative as he replied, "In one and a half weeks," he clarified. "We will attend alongside select Alphas and Lunas, as well as notify your pack about the Lycan."
The Alphas and Lunas nodded in understanding, their faces set with determination. "Understood, we will prepare," they replied, the weight of this monumental news settling.
The news spread rapidly, and all the races, other than the werewolves, had already received communication from the Lycan Empire. This sparked a frenzy of excitement as they looked forward to seeing the place the Lycan had isolated themselves and getting a glimpse of their mysterious territory.
Mystical beings from every corner of the earth buzzed with anticipation, busily preparing for the grand celebrations that lay on the horizon.
