Quite the Dinner

The dining hall was breathtaking. Truly one of the most beautiful places I had ever laid eyes on.

Golden chandeliers hung from the ceiling, glowing softly on a long polished table.

Servants lined the walls silently, waiting to begin serving.

My steps slowed the moment I entered. I didn’t belong here. I could feel it in the air.

The disgusted glares stabbing into my skin from those already seated.

I could feel their hate, like they wanted me gone before I even touched the table.
