Pushing the sheets off my body, I stepped on the cold floor, a hiss ripping from my throat. I quickly slipped on the fuzzy sliders before marching out of my room, only to hear the doorbell ring. The entire house felt quiet at this time, of course, with my mother and sister staying back in the hospital suite room.
