Lina's eyes filled with tears. "Damian, it's not like that," she protested weakly, but her voice was lost in the pain of her own sobs.

Lina felt a surge of anger at the accusation. "Yes but it wasn't my idea to sell her " she choked out, the words raw in her throat. "It wasn't me, Damian. It was your father."
