I rolled to the other side of the bed with a tired yawn, stretching my arms before swinging my legs over the edge. My body felt heavy, weighed down not just by sleep but by the thoughts swirling in my mind. Dragging myself to the dressing table, I caught a glimpse of my reflection in the mirror. “Oh, goodness,” I muttered under my breath.
