I faced Grey, my chin lifted defiantly. “Unlike you, I don’t have kids scattered around,” I snapped, storming out of the bathroom before another secret slipped past my lips.

I hadn't checked myself in the mirror before leaving, all thanks to Thomas Grey and his unsolicited advice. I adjusted my wig and straightened my gown, trying to push away what just happened in the bathroom.
