I was ready to hook Bishop Flynn. He sat among his circle of cronies, half-listening as James Hunt droned on about government policies and debates.

Like me, most of the room wasn’t here for the speech. The Capitol conference was a hunting ground for deals, power, and, for me, opportunities.
