“Carlos' returning …tonight,” Sara said, her voice tight, as she ended the call.

I could see the disappointment on her face. I felt it too. But since she found that mask in Carlos' underground, this mission has been more than an assignment for her, it was personal.

And damn, I couldn't stop her when she looked so worried.

I took her hand, her skin warm against mine. “I promised you a tour of the city, Miss Rodriguez, and nothing will stop that.”

But she wasn't amused ...
