As I approach the last house on the outskirts of town, I sigh. I’ve managed to have direct contact with every pack in the area except for one. Because, for that introduction, I have to venture a decent distance from my diner, The Grit. I try not to be cranky about the trip, reminding myself that things have gone smoother than expected.
