After Draven’s passionate talk last night, he picked me up and took me to bed. This morning, he brought me down for breakfast, then told me we’d be leaving soon to go see my mother and her new mate.

The moment he said it, nerves fluttered inside me. When I heard his words last night and realized he truly meant them, a tremor ran through me. The faith he asked me to have in him is growing, slowly but surely, and I have to make sure I remember that.
