Valkori stepped confidently into the battle ground, clad in her royal metal armor which protected every inch of her body, it was very powerful, but still elegantly forged to fit her lean and slender physique, her head was covered with a metal helmet as well, and in both her arms she carried two massive axe heads linked together with a chain that dangled on the ground as she bounced into the arena

Her armor breast plate bore the sigil of House Vernon, a cordate shield with a shining star engraved on it, Lord Hector smiled proudly as he saw his daughter walk in

The crowd went crazy, banners were dropped down at every corner of the arena, each of them imprinted with the same sigil on her armor, Valkori threw the axe heads around herself and spun them in the air as if performing for the audience, and they responded with their applause

"This is it Reece" Damian said "the moment we've all been waiting for"

"I bet thirty silver she wins this fight under a minute" Derrick added

"No way, did you see what that monster did?, you guys over estimate princess Valkori, there's a very good chance her dad butts in to save her ass" Reece replied

"Definitely not, you really think her father would let her do something like this if he wasn't a thousand percent sure she'd win?" Derrick cut in

"There was no preliminary test concerning that, Valkori made sure of that herself, she wanted the fight to be as challenging as it could get"

Reece and Derrick stared at Damian after that statement, he looked completely unbothered

"And how the hell do you know that?" Derrick asked anxiously, Damian gave him a stern side eye look that answered his question

"Right,...I almost forgot..." he leaned back on his seat, Reece still had his eyes locked on Valkori

The massive demon which was meant to fight Valkori roared and screeched at her, displaying it's dangerous teeth and tusks, a customary intimidation tactic, it scratched the ground and raised dust with its long muscular tail, Valkori held on to her axe heads and began to circle the creature, which did the same to her, both of them walked in a circle inside of the arena, never taking their eyes of each other, she walked calmly and steadily, the monster growled and wheezed, the crowd went silent from anticipation, waiting for who would make the first move...and it happened

In a flash, the demon rushed at her, leaping many feet in the air as it did so, Valkori dodged it swiftly and it crashed into a wall, the crowd screamed and hailed her, King Hector chuckled in his seat

Valkori charged up her weapon with her spirit energy and it gave off a blue glow, the demon shook it's head, growled and raced towards her again, she smiled under her helmet and waited for it to get within range, spun her axe heads and flung one of them at the creature, sweeping it's lower jaw clean off its face and flinging it across the arena.

The three boys were dumbfounded, they knew Valkori was powerful but this was something else, especially for someone her age

Valkori spun her axe heads all around herself by the chains, the demon picked itself up and performed its special defense mechanism, the jaw that Valkori had torn off its head began to slowly regenerate, and in a matter of seconds, it seemed like nothing had even happened to the creature, it roared and charged at her again, and she decided to finally be on the offensive side, now that she had gotten a good grasp of its physical abilities.

The demon swiped and slashed at her with its claws but she evaded each attack, she rushed in behind it to strike but it's massive tail whipped her many metres away, the crowd gasped in shock

"This isn't going well" Reece said

"They just got started, give it time" Damian replied

Valkori tried to pick herself up but the demon struck down at her with its massive clawed arm, she blocked the attack with her axe heads, slid under it and tore its guts open, she spun her axe heads rapidly and began to slice off chunks of flesh from the creature and it cried out in pain, she threw an axe head towards it's head to finish it off but it caught the weapon in its mouth, Valkori noticed that all the wounds she had just inflicted on the beast had began to heal, she realized that this battle might be a lot more difficult than she anticipated, and the crowd was beginning to feel it too, even her father.

She tried pulling the axe head out of its mouth but it didn't budge, instead, the demon threw its head back and flung Valkori away as she was still holding on to the chain, Valkori stepped out of the crater that her impact made on the wall, pieces of her armor began to fall off, the beast screeched and dashed at her again, and now she knew she had to get creative

As it tried to claw her down, she evaded every attack, dodging and jumping around as she lured it towards the center of the arena

"What the hell is she doing?" Reece sounded annoyed

The monster became infuriated and slammed the ground, creating a shockwave that threw Valkori off balance and made her fall, it jumped at her to finish her off and she rolled on the floor to evade it again, getting up quickly and striking it with her weapon repeatedly, the demon cried and squealed, she charged up her weapons with more spirit energy and rushed in, slicing off two of its four limbs in one swift attack, the monster crawled towards her and she performed her signature move;

With one hard stamp of her feet, massive crystal spikes erupted from the ground and impaled the creature, lifting it into the air and damaging it so badly that it couldn't regenerate instantly anymore, she jumped up to the demon in an attempt to slice off its head and end the fight, the whole arena went silent again, waiting patiently...for that finish blow

A loud bang was all they heard, Valkori had clashed her axe heads against the crystal spikes as the demon was no where to be found, she jumped down and looked behind them only to see the creature undergoing some sort of transformation, gradually shrinking in size, until it became...a human...

Valkori stood still, the crowd gasped and murmured, the three boys watched anxiously, King Hector sat with his legs crossed

"Please...I beg you....I surrender..." the man cried, he wore only ragged trousers and his legs were chopped as he couldn't transform completely, his face was badly wounded and his eyes filled with tears, on his chest lay a long fleshy scar which branched out and looked like a bolt of lightning, the mark of the demons.

"Please spare my life your grace...I...I surrender..." he wept and pleaded. Reece and Derrick looked distraught, Damian as usual was still unbothered

"FINISH HIM!!" A drunk old man shouted from the stands, breaking the silence, and the crowd backed him up immediately

"KILL HIM!!!, KILL HIM!!!, KILL THE MONSTER!!!" they chanted and cheered, Valkori looked around the crowd and straight at her father, he gave her a nod of approval, she breathed deeply before turning her attention back to her opponent, who was still begging and sobbing

"Please...my princess...spare me...I am from Helia...just like you...please...I have a family...please...!!"

One swift slash of Valkori's blade and the man's head rolled on the floor, his body dropped shortly after, the crowd shouted her name and applauded, lifting banners and posters of her family's sigil, House Vernon, the new rulers of the Supremacy

Valkori took off her helmet to finally reveal her face, she had dark brown skin, full lips and her huge brown eyes appeared golden under the midday sun, she now had four white dots above each of her eyes, and her full black luscious hair poured down. Hector gave out a sinister smile, filled with pride as he watched his daughter pump her fist to the crowd, she looked exactly like her mother, and resembled her even more every single day

Meanwhile, in the stands, Reece was fuming, brimming with rage, his fists balled up, Damian stood up to leave and Derrick tried to get Reece to do the same.

Valkori breathed heavily, her fist still up to the crowd, she had won, and it was one hell of a birthday present.
