"What?" I threw the question at him in a half laugh and a half scoff, wondering for a moment that maybe he was joking.

"Come home with me Ivonne," he repeated to my surprise, no ounce of humor in his tone as his expression was had determination written all over his facial features.

"Why?" I interrogated in disbelief of what I heard. "Is anything the matter? What do you want me at Blood pack for?"
