Xian dropped his glass of alcohol on his table and one of his guards whispered something into his ear and he immediately stood up.

Lu was battling between life and death, there was no way she could be able to make it because her skull was extremely injured and her brain was touched.

The news reporters filled the entrance of the hospital and there was literally no way to get in.

“The cameras are too much here sir.” One of xian guards said and xian slapped his head “find a way, that’s your job”.

“Are you lee xi Lu’s guardian?” the surgeon asked ziaoting as he came out from the operating room “yes sir.” Ziaoting said with his whole body shaking. “we were lucky to keep her alive but, the chances of her waking up is very low, she has Epidural Hematoma, if things get worst, she might fall into a coma, just hope for her to recover quickly” the doctor said and held ziaoting’s hands.

“I’m so sorry” he said and patted his arm, ziaoting was stiff, he didn’t want to understand what the doctor had to say, his past trauma’s came flashing into his head, his mum was in the same state and unfortunately, she died, ziaoting doesn’t even want to believe a word the doctor said.

Xian made it into the hospital and Lu was put in another room that oxygen was filtered because she was in a critical condition.

“How do you feel after ruining someone’s life?” ziaoting said and looked at xian “she was mean to know at the end…that she was living in a life of lies” xian said and looked up.

“Lu might die anytime, didn’t you consider this in whatever you were plotting?” ziaoting said in tears “not at all but…I thought something like this will happen but not this intense” xian said and laughed.

“I guess its funny for you, toying with someone else’s life-” ziaoting was saying when xian interrupted him “I never toyed with Lu’s life, it was her ignorance that ran her to her hospital bed-” Xian was saying when ziaoting grabbed his collar and everyone in the lobby looked at them and xian laughed.

“I’ll stop if I were you, I won’t want to waste my entire life effort into something like this” xian said and ziaoting let go of his collar.

“If I were you I’d just get married to Fei and forget about Lu, she’s married now, its time for you to move on” Xian said as he arranged his suit.

“Did you even love her?” ziaoting asked “this life is all about give and take, love doesn’t exist in business” xian said and tapped his shoulder.

“What a headache!” Lu’s dad said and he drank a glass of alcohol all in one “I told you to discard her before she gets this big but you said life was all about timing so timing is getting back at you” his wife said and took a sip of her wine.

“Father, what do you plan on doing now, the stocks have dropped and the shareholders are losing it” his second son, zhao said “set up a meeting with xian, he can’t just abandon me like this.

“I can’t believe she tried to take her own life” Fei overheard some girl in the restroom “I told you xian is so scary, I bet he tried to kill her for not giving the gallery to him” another girl said and Fei opened the toilet door and the girls bowed and she looked at them.

“Aren’t you guys busy?” she asked as she washed her hands “we’re sorry” the girls said and quickly left, she sighed and looked at herself in the mirror “why would I worry, its none of my business anyway”.

Xian sat down on a chair across Lu’s dad as he brought out a cigar from his pocket and lit it “what’s the problem, its unusual of you to call me out in a situation like this” xian said and puffed in the cigar.

“My stocks are dropping rapidly” he said as Xian puffed out the smoke “and what does that have to do with me?” Xian asked.

“do you know how painful that is?” he said “am I not the one who’s supposed to be in pain?, there’s no chance of Lu waking up know and my name Is getting more tarnished than before” Xian said and stood up.

“Don’t call me again or else, I won’t know what I’ll do” Xian said and was about leaving “that video…I’ll release it to the media if you don’t do as I say!” he said and xian laughed “do it and your company will end up flushing down the toilet in one second” xian Said and walked away.

Ziaoting’s company CEO threw a glass cup at the wall “what?!, you want to quit?!, after you’ve come this far you want to give it all up because of that girl?” the man said and ziaoting didn’t say anything, he sat on a chair and looked at ziaoting again.

“Think about it, do you think that friend of yours wants this for you, its not even like she’s dead, do you like her that much?” the man asked “yes, sir.” Ziaoting said and the man sighed.

“Whatever, keep chasing at someone else’s wife, its Gu Xian we’re talking about here, you might chase her to your death, I’ve said what I want to say, leave!”

‘My head hurts’ Lu thought as she looked at the ceiling, the ceiling looked very familiar, the designs were also familiar even the scent of the room she was in, she sat upright and looked at the room, it looked to familiar but she couldn’t remember.

She stood up and looked outside the window, it showed the beach and she remembered the place quickly ‘am I in Macao?’ Lu thought and carried her phone from the bed the date showed 5th of August 2019, she gasped and couldn’t believe what she was seeing on her phone, the door opened and a lady came inside with a tray of fruits “Are you up?” the lady asked and that’s when the confusion gushed at Lu.

It was aunt wang, she died 2 years ago in a car accident and she can’t be alive, it wasn’t possible for that to happen, ‘did I just go back…in time?’ Lu asked herself and suddenly fainted.
