The forest behind the safehouse was silent, it was midnight afterall.

Rebecca slipped out through the back door, careful not to let it creak, due to fear of being caught. She glanced over her shoulder once more to make sure no one was watching before pulling her hoodie over her hair and darting into the trees.

Her heart hammered.
