The moment Tyler was out the door, Alaric was on me, pulling me out of the seat and into his arms.

“Holy hell,” I breathed against his mouth. “That has to be the sexiest thing I’ve ever heard.”

Alaric let out a dark chuckle, setting me on his desk. “If that’s the sexiest thing I’ve ever said to you, then maybe I’m not trying hard enough,” he murmured, placing his fingers around the back of my neck as he took my mouth in a feverish kiss.
