Just Like Sin

Karl’s Point of View

“How did you even get in?” The girl blurted, her cabin brown hair shimmering under the golden lights of the chandelier. Her blue eyes were big and expressive, and the way her lips stood plump and full like they were stung seemed to amaze me.

She was small, and even though she looked fragile, the look in her eyes said otherwise; and the way she held the pepper spray can told me that she meant business. I didn’t want to find out if the content of that can was indeed pepper spray or not.

“I live here, lady,” I answered pushing some strands of my hair back, as I sank in my teeth into the apple. “Do you think I can break in the house with this much security, what do you think this is? Home Alone?”

She blinked a little surprised, and I bit into the apple again.

“I saw you standing close to the couple, related to the bride?” I asked curiously, she looked like someone in my peer, someone in between eighteen to twenty or perhaps younger. My eyes taking the time to check her out, she had a pear body shape, with thighs thick as sin, and the only thing I wanted in that moment was those legs wrapped around my waist.

The blue lace dress she wore hung tightly to her figure, and the dress seemed a little tight against her chest, her boobs frantically begging to be let out. Unintentionally, I ran my tongue over my lips, she was hot, and the hottest woman I have seen since I got out of prison. And speaking about prison, I got out some few hours ago, just in time to make it for my father’s wedding.

The wedding he didn’t invite me to, or even tell me about.

“I don’t see any reason why I should answer you,” her response came, she wasn’t even trying to soften up. Fucking uptight. “You haven’t introduced yourself to me.”

“I am not someone you should know.” I confessed, a little worried about her reaction if I decided to introduce myself. She was already worried without knowing me, she would feel worse if I told her my identity. For the first time in those three lonely months, I felt shame clothed me, and I balled my fist, because I knew the shame shouldn’t belong to me.

“Then you are an intruder?” her lovely blue eyes narrowed in confusion, I was about to explain when the door suddenly burst opened, my eyes darted in the direction of the door; father and his new bride walked in, they discussed and laughed, but as soon as their eyes landed on me, the huge smile on father’s face disappeared.

“You…” He called, his hands slowly unwrapping from the waist of his bride, “What the hell are you doing here?”

“What is that supposed to mean, father?” I wondered slipping one hand into my pocket, and I brought the apple to my lips again, setting my teeth on it. “I got released from jail today, where else should I have gone?”

Father stilled for a while, his eyes darting towards the girl I was conversing with earlier.

“And it’s quite a surprise, father. You didn’t tell me you were getting married, I came home and there was no one to welcome me.” I added mockingly. “Do you even consider me your son?”

“Leave.” He simply said, his eyes still narrowed angrily.

“What do you mean by leave?” I queried. “And go where? I am fresh out of prison, I have no money or anything, and the only meal I have had today is this apple.”

“I don’t care, Karl.” Father snapped, and I chuckled. “Today is a special day for me, and I don’t want to ruin it by seeing your face. He then pointed towards the door. “Please leave.”

“I am not leaving until you tell me why I should go?” with one last bite I finished the apple, and my eyes remained fixed on my father’s orbs that were identical to mine, daring him to look away. “Your wife doesn’t look like she has a problem staying with her husband’s son.”

The confused woman blinked and father shoved her behind him protectively, it irritated me slightly.

“Don’t act like you don’t already know the reason” Father snapped, and I felt my heart tightened in my chest, maybe I do.

“Of course, I do.” I answered chuckling painfully, “But I want you to look me in my eyes when you tell me that you are asking me to leave because you think I am a rapist!”

Silence settled in the living room, and his new wife clasped her right hand over her mouth, and her eyes suddenly darted towards the girl before me who instinctively stumbled backwards, I wasn’t sure if that was out of surprise or fear.

“Now isn’t the time for this,” father snapped again. “You should leave now, and we will talk about it later.”

I clutched my hands tightly, leaving would only mean attesting to the crime, and that is the last thing I could ever do.

“Then I wonder when the right time is,” I retorted, feeling myself step out of character for a bit, my heart thumping furiously in my chest. “When the whole world pointed fingers at me and called me a hideous monster, I expected you to fight for me because you are my father.”

“I am a very important public figure, don’t think that because I just have money I am going to side every single bad thing you do.” Father shouted. “You brutally raped and assaulted a young girl, and you want me to kiss you on the cheek? I didn’t raise you like that, and I am highly disappointed in you.”

“Is that how you see me?” I asked curiously, the hurt and betrayal fresh in my mind as the day of the trial. “Even though I told you countless times, I didn’t do it. You never believed me. Since you don’t trust in my words, I could never have won. How come you don’t even know your son?”

I didn’t care anymore.

“I am going to prove to you and the rest of the world, that I am innocent, and then you have to give me back these three months of my life.”
