Isabel sat stiffly in the passenger seat, her hands clasped so tightly in her lap her knuckles had turned white. Her breaths were shallow, shaky, as Lena drove through the streets with terrifying speed. The tires screeched as they turned into the hospital parking lot.

The car barely came to a full stop before Isabel flung the door open and jumped out, rushing toward the entrance with her heart in her throat.
