As much as I would have liked to pressure Seraphina until she gave me answers, I couldn’t because an important business call with Ambrose Fledger came up.

“Get ready, Seraphina. We are leaving for a meeting,” I told her, cutting off the interrogation that didn’t seem to be leading anywhere.

Apparently, I would have to do my investigations myself because I knew without a doubt that something was off and Seraphina was keeping it from me.
