Lauren’s call woke me up this morning, and I picked with sleepy eyes.

“Hello,” I said drowsily into the phone.

“Gosh, Seraphina, please, don’t tell me that you are still sleeping,” Lauren muttered into the phone as though she was scolding a child.

“It’s pretty early around here, Lauren,” I grumbled.
