I sat down and tried not to look at Kaelan’s open door. I concentrated on everything and anything that would prevent me from staring towards that direction.

I thought of going over to inform Kaelan of my arrival even though I felt that he had already seen me, but I decided against it. He was with Lazarus, and I just couldn’t say exactly how I felt about it.
