The monitors beeped loudly in the room as I sat down beside her bed. Her eyes were closed, the bandage on her face making it almost impossible for you to recognize her. The surgery had gone well. I had managed to change her face but she was still not awake yet.

"Are you sure there was no complications at all?" I asked, my eyes fixed on Lyra.

"No complications at all, Mr. Verran." the doctor said making me turn to look at him.
