Pretense isn't supposed to be enjoyable, it's something that brings discomfort and changes who you truly are or what you truly want. But in my case, I'm enjoying this pretense way too much.

Throwback to this morning when Salvatore's head was on my lap, I was stroking back and forth. My heart is beating continuously at the close proximity. Spending this time with him makes me realize he's a good man, at least to me.

He makes sure my needs are met, makes sure I don't fret so ...
