Oliver watched as his boss smacked his minion on the head. He was just an innocent teenager who found himself in the crime world.
“You all need to learn your places, nobody messes with my money” Oliver heard his boss said. He had his head bowed so he couldn’t see what was going on again. The next thing he heard was a gunshot. He looked up and his eyes met with his boss’s who had a devilish smile on. He saw the minion’s body laying lifelessly on the ground with blood gushing out of his head. Fear gripped him, since he was a new recruit in their group, he knew nothing about their dealings before until that day.
Present….
“I’m having the goods transferred to Spain now, Madame Web should take good care of it for me” Oliver said to the other person at the end of the line on his phone.
“Not to worry, I settled the detectives, they won’t be disrupting us anymore” he responded after the person spoke.
“Right” Oliver said and ends the call.
He was in a private plane with his workers heading back to Chicago to continue his business. Unlike Ellis and Theo who built a company, Oliver owned Casinos and nightclubs instead. His business was obvious to the police but he got them always settled. He hates the fact that Theo had more control than him in the line of their secret operations.
Oliver took out his can of whisky from his suit jacket. He had always loved to keep it there for no definite reason. He was about to drink it when one of his minions comes rushing to him.
“What is it Conan” Oliver asked.
“Sir, I just got a call from Eliot, a dead body was found in the Casino, it was a patron who found it and she had called the police” Conan informed Oliver whose brows furrowed.
“Oh great, a man can never get to enjoy his whisky without having nothing to worry about” Oliver said and returned the whisky back into his pocket.
“How many minutes more to home” Oliver asked Conan.
“Less than thirty minutes boss” Conan responded.
“I should probably place a call to the deputy” Oliver said.

Christiana watched as the car took a stop in front of a large mansion. It look ancient with little touches of civilization. Christiana at once assumes it was inherited. But what baffles her more is that fact that Theo turned out rich which means her father must have been too but then her grandmother never shared that part of life with her.
“We are home” Theo interrupted her thought
“I will decide if it’s home for me” Christiana said and Theo nods. They get down from the car and walk towards the main entrance of the house. Christiana studied her environment, she saw a water fountain which included the sculpture of a Lion. She saw about four black cars parked at a side of the compound. More to get her frightened, the men that were escorting them looked like they were criminals which Christiana is sure of including the man that was walking beside her.
“Don’t stare too much princess” Theo said and looks at her with his taming smile which made Christiana looks away abruptly. She clears her throat and focuses on the way rather than having to think about how God made someone as old as her father so attractive.
The large door at the entrance opened when they got close to it and it revealed a wide hallway. A woman Christiana thought to be in her late fifties stood right at the entrance along with three maids that stayed behind her.
“Welcome back Mr Tumbler” the woman greeted and shifts her gaze to Christiana.
“Who is our guest?” The woman asked with a genuine smile on.
“Mrs Anderson, this is Christiana, Christiana, this is Mrs Anderson, she takes care of the household, and Mrs Anderson, Christiana isn’t a guest, she’s my daughter and she will be staying with us from now on” Christiana’s eyes widens when Theo called her his daughter. Theo himself found it weird to call her daughter but it was what she is to him.
“Oh I see, nice to meet you Miss Tumbler” Mrs Anderson said, it was obvious she was glad to meet Christiana but at the same time, she wonders if truly they were related.
“It’s Miss Evans and please call me Christiana” Christiana said also smiling back at the woman.
“Right, I should go get a room ready for you, if you would excuse me sir” Mrs Anderson said and left their front after Theo gave her a go ahead with a nod.
“Daughter!, really?” Christiana said while they walked.
“You are” Theo said.
“Like you truly treated me like a daughter” Christiana said mockingly. Theo’s mood swinged. Christiana had no idea what she said hurt him.
“I’m sorry” Theo said with an apologetic look.
“I know it can’t definitely be enough but I want you to know how sorry I am” Theo added. Christiana was left speechless, she felt his apology was sincere which arises a lot of questions in her.
“Sir” Dreco called after receiving a phone call. He whispers something into Theo’s ear and Theo’s expression changed. He stomps off from where he stood towards the exit without saying nothing to Christiana. Christiana was vexed that he left her. She stood still, staring at nothing while fuming with anger.
“Miss” someone called and Christiana looked back. It was one of the maids that stood behind Mrs Anderson.
“I’m Samantha, please come this way” The girl said politely and Christiana aided. While they descend on the stairs, someone had her gaze on them. After they had gotten out of her view, she picked her phone from her pocket and dials a number which picked up after a second of ringing.
“She’s in the mansion right now, I will have my eyes on her” the girl said to the person she had called.
