I saw no reason to step outside my room today, not when my internship one-week rest break officially started. Except maybe to raid the kitchen for food and drinks.

Mostly, I wanted to avoid bumping into Grant or any of his minions. I wasn’t risking a repeat of last night. I hadn’t stepped outside since fleeing to my room and locking the door with my keys like my life depended on it.
