The first thing I feel is intense pain. My skull pounds like drums echoing loudly in the distance, each throb pulling me back into the waking world completely. The air around me is damp, heavy, and very cold, carrying the bitter smell of mold and rust. I force my eyelids open, my vision blurry, the dim light above me flickering faintly.
