Cold, shocking water splashed across my face, violently dragging me up and out of the suffocating darkness. I blinked hard, my lashes heavy and thick with rain. The entire sky above was hidden behind heavy, thick clouds, and rain pounded relentlessly through the forest canopy, soaking everything in its path.
