Present Time

Despite the longer years it has been since birth, everyone in the mansion wished it would go back to fifteen years ago when she was born.

Right there in the Don Villa Del Ella mansion, the only thing that had not changed was inconsiderate and dark heartened Sonia.

The happiness and joy everyone had felt at her birth fifteen years ago had began to dissipate slowly as she grew into a young lady.

At this point, they all dreaded her.

And presently, if there was one thing Sonia disliked, it was being interrupted of which it was happening already.

“Do you have any idea just who I am?”

Eyes glinting so dangerously they shone in the bright lights of the hallway with a hand on her hip and backed by her minions, Sonia looked down her nose at the teacher who just accosted her on her way out of school before the close of classes. It was blatantly obvious to everyone but the newly transferred teacher that the girl speaking was the queen of the Don Villa Del Ella whom only 16 and a half years before, had her birth celebrated for a whole week.

“It doesn’t matter who you are. Go back to class”

Stretching her hand out to admire the red, glossy gel polish on her nails which went against a million and one school rules, she barely spared the overly zealous teacher a glance.

Raising her hand up, she snapped her fingers in the air once and like a Hollywood movie, the teacher suddenly found his legs above the floor that he was previously standing on.

In the blink of an eye, the teacher was carted away by the men who were always some distance away from Sonia lurking in the shadows to protect her from unforeseen circumstances towards the principal's office.

“Aw, he’s so cute. We could have spent some time with him and had some fun”

Ashley, one of her minions muttered in that false nasal voice of hers that made anyone within hearing distance wince. Sonia looked in the direction of the teacher that was struggling to be put down and huffed a breath.

“Trash like him deserve to be in the gutters because that’s where they belong. Have some class, Ashley”

With a face redder than the color of the nails she was sporting simply because Sonia said so, she shrunk into herself while mumbling what was meant to be an apology while Brittany elbowed her.

As friends of the Del Ella family, they were as thick as they could be seeing as they were forced to grow up together with Sonia being the default leader due to her parents' great wealth.

Casting one last glance at the teacher who was some distance away down the long hallway that led to the principal's office and without a care in the world that the man was going to end up losing his job and probably unable to secure another teaching job, she turned around and strutted out of the school with her minions following closely behind her, making a beeline for the white, flashy limousine parked haphazardly at the entrance of the school, a necklace with a pendant far more expensive than two limousines combined, reflecting the rays of the sunlight.

“I told you to take me to the hangar. Why did you bring me here instead?”

The driver, already scared that he was going to lose his job just merely 3 days after getting it, stammered in response which made Sonia kick the back of the chair he was sitting in. Ashley and Brittany giggled like airheads as they watched Sonia act out as usual. That was, however, quickly extinguished when her glare was directed at them.

“Take me to the hangar now! I have to attend the fashion show in Paris which is starting in the next 45 minutes”

Shrieking so loudly that the glass windows of the car nearly got shattered into pieces, Sonia threw yet another one of her numerous tantrums. The driver was grateful for the small demarcation that separated him from her because he was not going to put it past her to probably hit him on the head. That relief was however short lived when the standby phone in the car started ringing.

He swallowed loudly, beads of perspiration already appearing on his brow because he knew what that meant. Hand shaking slightly, he reached out surreptitiously and picked up the phone. Without even putting it to his ear, he pressed a button that lowered the demarcation between the driver and passenger side.

“For you, Princess”

Annoyed at being disturbed midway into her tantrum, she snatched the latest phone which was yet to be released to the general public and put it to her ear.

“What?”

Her tone was so sardonic that if the other person were there, they would have physically shuddered. She listened for a second and then threw the phone to the ground uncaring whether it got shattered or not.

“You, you’re fired!”

Those were the words directed to the driver before she alighted from the vehicle in a fit of rage at being summoned.

The driver heaved a sigh of relief as he slumped into his seat glad that though he was fired, he was at least still alive. The last driver was still in the hospital receiving treatment after she threw a scalding hot cup of coffee on his face after throwing her 6 inch stiletto heels at him just because he told her that it wasn’t a good idea for her to go to a club with her 24 year old boyfriend.

“Sonia”

A deep, baritone voice called out which made her stop in her tracks just as she was about to cross the foyer. She squinted at him, tendrils of her hair falling in perfect curls and framing her face before allowing her features to relax into the snobby look that she had perfected.

Without a word, he turned around and started walking towards a room. She followed, her heeled shoes that equally went against school policy clacking in the hallway. Her minions knew better than to follow her in when he was around so they stopped and made a detour to the swimming area to cool off while waiting for Sonia’s meeting to be over.

“Sit”

Taking the only other chair at the opposite end of the long table in the conference room of the office building, she crossed her legs demurely and tapped her feet as she waited for the man whose features were so similar to hers to speak, the same calculating look that she was sporting on his face.
