Maxwell's disgrace had been the final fracture.

Selene had been dead for several moons and the pack still continued in their every day activities as many wolves in the pack hated her guts. The pack had adjusted to losing her. What they had not adjusted to, could not have prepared for, was losing Maxwell the way they lost him — publicly, completely, stripped of his title and his bond.
