JESS' POV:

I can't stop Staring at my ring, my alpha king had giving me a ring, he proposed to me, I thank the moon goddess for bringing us together, it's so sad that my best friend has made herself his Luna queen in her mind even before getting to meet him in person.

Speaking of my best friend, I have to go see her today, I can't do this without her.

“ Hello sunshine, are you awake now?” My father called out for me, he was more than happy with me now, I guess I won back his love and trust.

As for Lucy, we had decided and agreed to keep it a family secret that she is my daughter at least for the mean time.

“Yes dad, I'm awake now, I was just getting ready, I'm coming down in a few minutes time”

“ Alright baby” he said walking away.

I got dressed and rushed down stairs, ever since the incident I didn't return back home, to my own place, I stayed back here and now that we had a wedding to plan,I helped put with the preparations even though dad didn't want me to.

The house was so busy, there was people everywhere in the house, my sister's,brother's, cousins and relatives,they were all here to support me, I'm so excited…!

The only person absent here was my best friend and it broke my heart greatly.

“hope you're not stressing my Angel” Alpha Williams said to me over the phone, he had sent in people to help out with the arrangements too. “ If you want I could send in more helps”

“No no I'm fine, just worried about my best friend, I've been texting and calling her but no response still”

“Why is she so mad at you though?” He asked.

“It's a long story, it all started when…”

“Jess, your dress is here, come try it it out” my mom said to me interrupting my call, I guess I'll have to let my alpha know everything later.

“I have to go now dear, talk to you later “

“ It's alright, have a great day, don't stress okay?”

My gown fitted me properly, it was handless, purple and flowing with many petals, just what I wanted, we were going to be having a small wedding that would only comprise of family and friends, my idea, I didn't like large weddings and so did my Alpha.

“You're invited” I said handing my best friend my wedding invitation card.

She just took one look at it and sighed.

“I'm sorry I was being petty, the moon goddess made you alpha William's mate and I must accept that”

“Thank you, I'm really sorry for everything, I hope you can grace our wedding though, it would be our honor if you agree to be my chief bridesmaid.

“Of course, if I'm not the chief bridesmaid at my best friend's wedding, who will?” She hugged me tight.

“ I've missed you, it's not too late in joining to plan your big day is it?”

“Never too late bestie” I said hugging her tight, I've missed my best friend, now my joy is complete, my wedding was going to be a blast.

The sun shone brighter than ever this morning or maybe I just imagined it did because it's my wedding day.

I sat in my room, admiring my reflection, I was putting on the purple dress with a pearl necklace my mom gave to me.

“It was my mom's” she said to me the night before.

My parents were so proud of me and bragged that I was getting married to an alpha lycan.

On my head were flowers for tiaras,my hair was packed and my makeup was nicely done.

It was time for me to go down, walking down the aisle hand in hand with my father, alpha Williams stood waiting anxiously.

“Will you alpha Williams take Jess to be be your lovely wedded wife, in sickness and in health, till death do you part”

“ Yes I do”

“Will you Jess take Alpha Williams to be be your lovely wedded husband, in sickness and in health, till death do you part”

“Yes, I do”

“ does anyone have any reason why this two shouldn't get married, speak now or forever hold your peace”

The hall was quiet, and I anxiously searched the faces of the congregation, no one said anything not even my best friend.

“I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may now kiss the bride”

Just then the chandelier came falling down directly at me, alpha Williams snatched me out of the way and hugged me in his arms, all I could see was darkness and distant chattering as everyone panicked for my sake, alpha Williams saved me.

I couldn't feel my hands, I managed to open my eyes and I realized I was on a hospital bed and alpha Williams was right beside me asleep.

“What happened?” I voiced our and alpha Williams raised his head anxiously.

“ You're awake” he said hugging me tight. “ You need to rest now, you almost got hit by a Chandelier,thank the goddess I swinged you out, you're safe now, nothing is going to happen to you now, you're safe in my arms”

“Is the wedding over? How many hours have I been out?”

“You've been out for four days now”

“What?” I tried getting up but my head spiralled.

“Relax, you need enough rest”

He sat watching me, rubbing my head at every given opportunity, the doctor came a while later introducing himself as doctor don, alpha William's family doctor, turns out after series of checks in the hospital at my region I was moved to my husband's place in the Westland.

“Luckily, you didn't get hit my the chandelier but the shock was what knocked you out just a few medications and constant check up, you'll be fine”

“Thank you doc”

“Anytime” he said leaving alpha Williams and I alone together again.

“Can you call my best friend over? I'll need assistance for a while”

“ Sure thing” alpha Williams said comforting me.
