ALPHA WILLIAM'S POV:

After the incident with the chandelier at our wedding I had promised myself never to let Jess out of my sight and to ever get hurt again so I never stepped out of her ward till she recovered and showered her with so much love when we got back home.

“Hope I'm not interrupting your honeymoon” beta Leo said to me.

“You know better Leo”I chuckled nudging him “I'm kidding, I've missed you man”

“Thought as much” he said “ and our Luna, How is she now?”

“Recovering each day, what brings you here?”

“Well state matters, not that you should worry yourself but I have news that might excite you or annoy you…”

“Which is?”

“It's your brother”

“Oh please” I scoffed suddenly losing interest in the conversation.

“He sends his regards and asks me to inform you that he's coming into town tomorrow”

“He keeps saying that for how many years now and I'm done hearing that from him, I've visited him so many times but he never cared to reciprocate not even on my wedding day, I don't care about him”

“Calm down alpha, he might be serious this time”

“Read my lips, I - DON'T - CARE”

“I see, not my problem”beta Leo shrugged.

But honestly I've had enough of George promising to visit but Always disappoints.

George is my half brother born to different father's,both alpha's, he had his own pack and was so preoccupied that he didn't visit Westland, he had completely deserted me and couldn't even attend his little brothers wedding, well I don't really care about him anymore, I know I still do but I don't want to.

“ You should come in and have dinner with us” I tried to patronize beta Leo.

“ It's okay, I'm in a haste, see you whenever you visit the pack house okay?” He said patting my shoulder “ and err… are you sure you're good? You could ask for some guards and maids and there'd be here in a jiffy, this place seems quiet as hell”

“I'm Alpha LYCAN Williams, I can handle things myself”

“Trust you” he said and left in his car.

“ I should be worried about you though, driving alone at this time, you know you could always sleep over?” I shouted after him.

“I'm beta Leo, Alpha LYCAN William's beta, second in command, I can handle things myself” he said zooming off, I almost choked with laughter, Leo is my beta but he was more like my best friend and we messed with each other like brothers even though I am alpha and he's my beta.

I cuddled Jess in bed and watched her sleep like a baby, she meant the world to me and I'd do anything to protect her.

I wasn't feeling too sleepy so I stepped out to the porch and to my surprise Estelle walked in few minutes later, claiming not to be feeling sleepy, I let her pour me glass of wine and we just sat staring at the stars.

“So what attracted you to my best friend I mean apart from the usual mate to mate bond?” she broke the silence

“that should be.. her personality, her whole approach to everything, her calmness and most of all, her smile” I answered.

“Wow, not surprised though, Jess has always warmed her way into the hearts of many with her personality and that ever glowing smile”

“Yeah” I said, Jess was such an inspiring person.

“Her daughter takes after her in that stead, her personality… the smi..” Estelle said, I must have heard wrong.

“I'm sorry what?” I cut her short.

“I said her daughter took after her”

“What daughter?”im confused here

“Jess has a daughter, she didn't tell you, oops I was not supposed to say, forget I said anything”

“That's unbelievable, Jess has a daughter? Explain your statement to me and no I won't forget you said anything, speak!”

“Well… at fifteen Jess was very wild, she went out to a party and slept with one of the guys there, few months later she discovered she was pregnant with a child and had no idea who it's father was and that child grew up to be Lucy, her supposed younger sister”

“You're messing with me right?” I asked her again cause this was hard to believe, how could Jess hide this from me.

“You can ask Jess yourself but please don't tell her I told you so”

I had heard enough for the night, I stormed out angrily and walked into my room, Jess was still fast asleep, I stared at her angrily, if this was true then I'm disappointed at her, I don't support lies or secrets, she should have been open with me.

Morning came and I think I didn't even sleep at all, I sat on the bed backing her, she woke up and started to caress me but I Ignored her.

“What's wrong?” She asked sounding worried, I'm in no mood to talk to her right now else I'll lash out angrily and I don't want to hurt her.

“Can you let me be for now?”

“ What? What's bothering you my Lord, did something happen?”

I stood up and tried to walked out of the room but she hurried towards me and blocked my way.

“You have to tell me what's going on, you can't go out angry at me like this”

“Get out of my way”

“Babe, what is going on? I'm pretty sure I have nothing to do with what's making you angry, I'm your queen and I have every right to know what's bothering you, please… open up to me”

“Did you have daughter out of wedlock?” I blurt out.

She stared at me mouth agap, speechless.

“I guess it's true” I said pushing her out of my way but she holds on to me fast.

“I can explain please”

“What a exactly do you want to explain? That you were reckless at such a young age, got pregnant without knowing the father of your child and hid this from me, what?!”

“I'm sorry “ she started to shed crocodile tears, I pushed past her and out of the room,needed to clear my head.
