The clock on the wall reads 6:30 AM when I wake in the guest quarters.

'Today.' My hand moves to my stomach where the triplets stir. 'This has to work.'

I close my eyes. 'Moon Goddess, give me strength. Let the truth be revealed in time.'

I leave the guest quarters. Every muscle in my body pulls tight as I walk through the palace. 'What if the phone isn't there? What if he disposed of it?'
