I hadn’t realized I was still holding the phone until Luca’s voice came through the static again.

“Xavier? Are you there?”

I blinked, staring at the screen. Zayne's last message was frozen at the top.

Signal found. Dock perimeter looks clear. Going in.

That was three hours ago.

Now, the signal was gone.
