The thing about ghosts is they always leave a trace.

Even when you think they’ve vanished, there’s always something left behind…. a scent, a thread, a footprint in the dark.

You just have to be desperate enough to follow them.

And right now, I was chasing ghosts.

Celeste’s line had gone dead almost fifteen hours ago. The last thing I heard from her was static, then a broken whisper “I saw…” before it cut off.
