"You're finally here, sweetie." 

I was startled when I just walked into the room and heard a voice from behind. Terrence walked over with a tray of two cups of hot chocolate. 

He made me sit across from him and I obeyed without the slightest suspicion. Terrence smiled and asked a few small questions as usual after which he told me to drink the chocolate while it was still drinkable.
