Lorelei

The mist was the first thing I noticed. Soft, silver, swirling around my ankles like water. I stood in a place I didn't recognize—not the citadel, not Black Mist, not anywhere I had ever been. The ground beneath my feet was soft, almost springy, covered in grass that glowed faintly in the dim light.
